Stepping into the outdoor venue of IBIZA by SUNSET wearing this summer swimsuit-themed cosplay outfit, the view filled with azure water and vivid sunlight instantly pulled me into a strong summer resort mood. The core focus of this shoot was to recreate the character's refreshing and vibrant state through an outdoor location in this hot season, while capturing a natural and comfortable presence on camera.
In terms of styling prep, styling the white wig and wearing red contact lenses laid the groundwork for the character's baseline, which, paired with the highly recognizable wide-brimmed blue and white sun hat, instantly brought out a vivid demeanor. The outfit combines a sailor style with swimsuit cosplay design: the upper body's blue and white color-blocking together with crisscross halter strap details not only looks sleek and minimalist visually, but also flatters the neck and shoulder lines. The layer of translucent light blue sheer sleeves worn outside is a part I personally love about this outfit—it cleverly adds a touch of fluidity and lightness to the structured cut. The breeze while walking, combined with the soft light reflecting under the sun, infuses the entire photo with a refreshing, cool texture.
The lower half is paired with slim-fit denim shorts and deep blue leg straps, a combination that feels athletic in everyday wear yet stays completely harmonious under a swimsuit theme. Additionally, adding a black studded choker and dark wristbands brought a bit of street-style personality to the overall look so it didn't feel plain. To cope with the intense outdoor sunlight, I specifically added orange reflective sunglasses as a key prop; it appears frequently throughout this photo set, whether held casually in hand or pushed up onto my head as an accent. It proved to be a great visual balance in color, breaking up the monotony of the blue-and-white color scheme.
The shooting process overall was very relaxed. We selected the wooden deck along the pool edge, the beanbag loungers in the beach area, and a wooden swing as our main shooting locations. I personally loved the angles seated on the blue beanbag sofa—the lazy feeling of sinking completely into the soft fabric allowed my body language to unfold naturally, requiring no forced angles, just following the atmosphere of the surroundings. Sitting by the pool, I naturally let my legs dangle and rest against the edge, taking advantage of slanting light and shadows to outline limb contours. In this environment where heat waves mingled with gentle breezes, we captured some remarkably vivid eye contact.
The swing scene was another atmospheric highlight of the photo set. Sitting on the wooden hanging chair, swaying gently in the wind, holding onto the ropes, or casually bowing my head to adjust the hat brim—when captured by the shutter, these subtle actions carried a strong narrative feel. Thanks to the photographer's patient snapshots and on-site coordination, in an environment like Ibiza specially built for leisure and vacation, the lighting intensity was ideal. It struck a great balance between soft fill and strong sunlight, preventing harsh overexposure in highlights or crushed blacks in shadows while preserving rich details on skin textures and costume fabrics. This swimsuit-themed Summer Film creation was my most enjoyable outdoor location experience recently, beautifully freezing both the laziness and vibrant energy of summer into every frame.
