Putting on this Sakiko Toyokawa cosplay costume and standing in front of the mirror, I instantly found the character's calm yet slightly dangerous aura. I am especially satisfied with the hand-reaching pose in Image 1. That feeling of slightly tilting my head back and spreading my fingertips somehow captured Sakiko's commanding, "in full control" presence on stage. Many friends said this photo carries the charm of ykn, so it seems my attempt to bring a theatrical outfit vibe into everyday life was indeed effective.
The wig is a light blue, long straight style. Once put on, it has plenty of volume and takes quite a bit of effort to style, but to achieve high character accuracy with that cool and delicate silhouette, spending the extra time is totally worth it. The costume has so many details. The red cropped top paired with a black corset, plus that row of brown lace-up designs in the front, requires adjusting the tightness in several places during wear to make the pattern fit properly.
My favorite part is the multi-layered skirt hem at the bottom; the alternating black and off-white ruffles offer rich layering and a natural swaying motion when walking. Paired with black tights and those yellow-and-black color-blocked lace-up boots, the visual proportions of the entire lower body are beautifully elongated. The background of the room was quite ordinary when shooting this set, but I did my best to compensate for the lack of atmosphere through poses and expressions. In Image 3, standing on tiptoes on a blue cushion was actually to adjust my height and find the right camera angle. Although it's a bit funny behind the scenes, the resulting effect actually has a nice gap moe.
This costume allowed me to experience Sakiko's vibeāelegant on the outside but harboring immense decisiveness within. Especially while adjusting the details of the gloves and bracers, I unconsciously synchronized with her behavioral habits. Although we took a lot of photos, the final selection successfully showcases different facets of this character. From a slightly aggressive stance to a more relaxed moment, it makes me feel that all the effort put into this Anime cosplay project was entirely worthwhile.
