[Sakiko Toyokawa Cosplay] Classic Campus-Style Everyday Vibes in BanG Dream!

For this shoot, I chose Sakiko Toyokawa's casual daily outfit, aiming to present an overall vibe that combines preppy style with a soft, gentle feel. The off-white shirt with a small lapel collar is the highlight of this look; the fine black ribbon bow at the neckline not only elongates the neck line but also keeps the white tones from looking monochrome. Combined with lantern sleeves featuring gold buttons at the cuffs, it adds a touch of refined vintage British elegance. On the bottom, a grey plaid A-line pleated skirt paired with a wide black belt beautifully outlines the waistline, while mid-calf white socks and black Mary Jane shoes serve as elements bringing a classic vintage flair to this uniform styling.

The long, wavy light-blue wig takes a lot of effort to style beforehand, with the dark green ribbons on both sides being the soul element of this look. I specifically adjusted the position of the ribbon knots, hoping to create a look that feels casually draped yet meticulously arranged. The gold-green contact lenses perfectly match the character's aloof yet stubborn temperament, which, paired with soft lip makeup, gives the face a gentle approachability. For this shoot, I also prepared an off-white handbag decorated with a bow to serve as a visual focal point while seated; it stands out vividly against the dark green velvet sofa and intricate floral wallpaper background, enhancing the layer depth of the scene.

The photoshoot setting was chosen in a vintage indoor room, where dark wooden doors and white lace curtain sheers provided excellent lighting. Throughout the shoot, the photographer and I constantly experimented with interactions. For the first set on the sofa, the photographer used a low angle to emphasize long leg lines, perfectly fitting the subtle campus feel. Moving to the wooden door later, I tried two actions: leaning against the door and touching up makeup, using a small hand mirror and lipstick as props to create a more relatable, everyday natural state. The framing with the lipstick touch-up guides the viewer's gaze toward hand and facial details; meanwhile, the final high-angle shot reaching toward the camera breaks away from conventional straight angles, bringing an interactive feeling that shatters the fourth wall.

Sakiko Toyokawa has a rich character arc within the project's storyline, embodying surface elegance and pride alongside inner sensitivity and vulnerability. Projected onto her outfit, this perfectly aligns with the honor student image of a white shirt and plaid skirt—seemingly quiet and obedient, yet harboring strong personal convictions. During shooting, I focused on embodying that state where outward sharp edges are hidden, leaving behind a gentle presence with just a hint of distance. Whether through the relaxed pose on the couch or the focused expression while touching up lips, I strived to express this authentic everyday reality within her character.

During post-processing retouching, we refrained from overly altering skin texture and light/shadow, keeping the natural chiaroscuro transitions and shadow layering created by the indoor setting. This allowed the photos to feel closer to artistic photography rather than pure anime soft focus. The shoot went remarkably smoothly today; the outfit coordination matched the scene wonderfully, and the photographer was highly efficient at capturing dynamic moments. This natural, effortless production process was truly comfortable. The stray hairs and fabric creases actually added a vibrant sense of reality to the look, and I hope these lights and shadows convey the authentic everyday atmosphere I felt.
