This shoot aimed to present Hyacinthia's texture under outdoor natural light. There are numerous details in this outfit; for the outer dark red part, I chose a fabric with a certain glossy feel, ensuring beautiful edge reflections under the sunlight, and the golden embroidery texture on the hem also requires specific angles to be captured properly. Paired underneath is a white multi-layered base skirt; to maintain the skirt hem's fluffiness, a petticoat with sufficient support was needed, giving a lightweight feel when walking.
The wig features a pink-and-white gradient, and spending a long time on trimming and styling was necessary; the twin tails on both sides required careful layering to avoid looking rigid, and the small hat on top of the head was also fixed by myself, with clips specially reinforced for ease of movement. In terms of makeup, to match the character's blue pupils, I deepened the eyeshadow blending, highlighted under the eyes, and made the gaze look more energetic. Regarding the tights pairing, the pure white tights actually have a slight gloss under the sun, which, paired with small black leather shoes and the deep red bow at the ankle, provides an excellent visual extension.
The shooting location was chosen on a quiet, sparsely populated woodland path, where the afternoon light filtering through the leaves created a lovely mottled feel. To make the photos more dynamic, instead of stiff standing, various brisk actions were tried, such as lifting one leg or taking small steps along the path. The flying skirt hem and the leg lines of the white tights could be better showcased in motion. The bouquet in hand was matched with white-and-pink roses and green leaves, which not only supplemented the frame's colors but also gave the hands a natural focal point. The gesture of holding the bouquet was adjusted several times to look natural without blocking the details of the dress and the chest bow.
The outdoor environment demands high requirements for the costume's condition; to prevent the clothes from wrinkling, they had to be neatened during every shooting break. The entire shooting process required constant attention to the shape of the skirt and the direction of the hair. Due to the outdoor breeze, the hairstyle was easily blown messy, and almost every few shots required re-grooming with setting spray and a comb. Capturing the angle of the sunlight was also crucial; both the rim light during backlighting and the facial details during front lighting required continuous micro-adjustments of standing positions in front of the lens. We walked back and forth through the woods several times to capture natural walking postures. Sometimes, waiting for a gust of breeze to blow the skirt into just the right arc meant staying in one spot for a long time. When taking full-body photos, lowering the camera angle slightly can elongate the leg lines, which, combined with the red-and-white costume colors, stood out remarkably against the slightly yellowish autumn woodland background. This set of photos intended more to showcase the character's lightweight and lively traits, so the action design intentionally avoided deep or complex poses, focusing instead on natural, agile walking and jumping. The color palette of the costume is very eye-catching in the outdoor environment; the collision of dark red and pure white, coupled with golden embroidery, possesses a gorgeous texture without being overly heavy.
