[Ukinami Yuzuha Cosplay] Red Braids and the Spatial Contrast of a Car Door - Image 1

Regarding the second photographer and the main photographer arguing over the shooting angle, as the person involved, I was honestly a bit amused and exasperated. At that time, we chose a red car, wanting to use the space after opening the car door to create a "slice-of-life with a touch of the extraordinary" atmosphere. The second photographer thought I should lean halfway out, using the door frame as a foreground, while the main photographer preferred compressing the depth of field to focus on the details of the makeup and wig. Both held onto their opinions, and after the second photographer gestured for three minutes, the main photographer straight up gave up their right to choose the angle.

However, once the photos came out, I have to say, the visual extension brought by this composition is indeed very strong. The red car body reflects on the pink fluff of the clothes, creating a unified tone, and combined with the crisp lines of the sailor collar tie and boots, the overall feel perfectly fits the character's setting of blending movement and stillness from Zenless Zone Zero. During the shoot, I was constantly worried that stepping on the door frame would look awkward, but judging from this photo shot by the main photographer later, I actually found a very comfortable center of gravity.

In fact, every time I do a cosplay, the most interesting part isn't the final retouched photos, but these discussions about composition, light, and shadow on set. Even if they are arguments, it shows everyone is putting their heart into the work. In the photo, you can see the echo between the red hair and the car paint, as well as the texture of the braids—all of which were achieved after lengthy communication with the makeup artist while preparing the costume and wig beforehand. There are actually many fun angles in the behind-the-scenes outtakes and bloopers, but this one should be considered a relatively satisfying shot after the main and second photographers both took a step back. This experience perfectly showcases the charm of Anime-style photography.
