The theme of this photoshoot is to step into that world full of dramatic tension together with everyone. The scene was chosen in a classroom that seems ordinary but hides secrets everywhere, with many desks and chairs intentionally overturned and piled up to create a distorted sense of visual oppression. Combined with a high-angle top-down shot and the intense color clash between the cold, dark main light and the bright red side light, the frame instantly conveys that extreme and highly explosive psychological hint of a yandere.
To precisely capture the character's seemingly calm yet actually frenzied temperament, many subtle refinements were made to expression management prior to the shoot. The eyes need to have a pure clarity, while at the same time hiding a spine-chilling sharpness. The outfit is paired with a highly youthful blue-and-white sailor uniform and a dark pleated skirt. This everyday school attire forms a huge contrast with the extremely chaotic background, making the character's setting even more unforgettable.
The preparation in the early stage was quite miscellaneous. In addition to fitting the costume, I had to confirm the final effect of the lighting together with the photographer and the post-processing team. Because the lens distortion from the overhead angle is relatively large, every angle of tilting the head or leaning sideways had to be carefully found to avoid the image looking overly stiff, which highly tests the model's body control ability. However, it is precisely these repeated adjustments and mutual adaptation that gave the final photos their current texture.
For recreating classic characters, cosplay is not just about putting on a costume, but rather capturing those emotional fragments that were not fully unfolded in the manga and anime through the lens. Whether it is the obsession with the lighting atmosphere or the arrangement of scene props, I hope to bring a visual experience that fellow fans can resonate with at first glance. This moment where serenity and madness coexist is exactly what fascinated me when shaping this character, and I hope to convey the unique warmth belonging to this character through this photo.
