Putting on this red and white dress, wearing the soft lace bonnet, and styling the golden spiral curls, I've transformed into that prank-loving Flandre Scarlet. The lighting at the convention venue this time was actually quite messy, with many bright overhead lights that significantly affected the cosplayer's facial shadows and skin tone restoration. Fortunately, I prepared a portable fill light in advance, which, combined with the reflectors on-site, caught bright and clear catchlights in the eyes, making the red pupils shine bright enough without looking dull. The colorful crystal prisms on the wings are the highlight of this gear. In the original design, Flandre's wings have an abstract light effect. I specially chose translucent acrylic material and embedded miniature LED beads inside. I was truly satisfied to see the rainbow-like refractive light effect on-site, finally materializing that "forbidden" sense of magic.

The teddy bear plushie and the red apple, as iconic props, not only balance the frame's composition but also add a lively sense of interaction—poses like kneeling while holding the bear or holding an apple in one hand can make the character more vivid. During the shoot, I tried multiple angles, such as a high-impact composition stretching my arms towards the lens, or a casual state of sitting sideways and looking back, attempting to convey Flandre's contradictory temperament of being both innocent and carrying a hint of danger. Walking around the exhibition hall in red Mary Jane leather shoes and ruffled white socks was actually quite tiring, but seeing the various agile moments frozen by the lens made me feel everything was worth it. This costume has many layers and pleats; the bow at the waist and the lace on the cuffs were all carefully ironed, and paired with the custom bow choker, the overall 3D texture is very strong. I hope this set of convention photos lets everyone feel that fantasy and joy in Gensokyo, and share some of my own small tips on making props and adjusting light and shadow. After all, doing anime cosplay every time is an expression of one's love for the character.
