Deciding to wear this sailor suit style for Firefly cosplay was mainly because this outfit retains strong character recognition while bringing a warm, everyday approachable feel. Looking closely at the details in the photos, I chose a silver-white long straight wig with naturally draped bangs, which visually flatters the face shape and makes the eyes pop. To match the character setting from Honkai: Star Rail, I specifically wore purple contact lenses; this highly saturated eye color, complemented by the eye makeup, makes the gaze look full of spirited charm.

For the makeup, I put in considerable effort to achieve an anime-like look. I deliberately accentuated the upper eyelashes and aegyo sal (under-eye area) to make the eyes appear larger and more expressive, while sweeping pink-toned blush across the cheeks and under the lower eyelids to create a soft, gently energetic glow. For the lips, I selected a glossy jelly-pink lip tint, which captures youthful sweetness without feeling overdone. The overall makeup relies on a clean, translucent, fair foundation to complement the cool-white tones of the wig.

Regarding the costume, this Sailor suit cosplay features wonderful layering. With a white top as the foundation, it is paired with a dark gray sailor collar trimmed with white stripes, looking crisp and sleek. The striking gold four-leaf clover floral embroidery right below the collar serves as the finishing touch, elevating the outfit's sophistication so the expansive white and gray palette never feels monotonous. Completed with a headband adorned with a dark-gray and pale-cyan bow, the overall color coordination is exceptionally harmonious.

These photos were taken on site during Day 2 of the Shenzhen Anime Convention. The background shows bright glass curtain walls and ceiling lighting; ambient illumination was abundant, with natural light reflecting off the face to make the base makeup look exceptionally smooth. The convention had a huge turnout that day, so rather than hunting for specialized studio or outdoor setups, these close-up phone selfies captured the authentic convention mood and emotion far better. Facing the lens, I struck several distinct expressions—a subtle gentle smile, a relaxed teeth-baring grin, and a calm, direct gaze—capturing my various states while roaming the convention floor.

Cosplaying for me is often about pursuing an immersive experience. The character of Firefly from Honkai: Star Rail inherently carries a mysterious and unique charm; the moment I put on this costume and wig, I naturally began channeling her spirit. Roaming the convention to take commemorative photos and interact with fellow fans made this experience even more vivid and joyful. Even though the venue was bustling and noisy throughout, this high-energy environment is precisely where the magic of anime conventions lies.

Reviewing these Convention photos, I felt very satisfied. This series underwent almost no complex post-processing; the straight-out-of-camera look felt great on its own, faithfully rendering the costume's texture and facial expressions. I thoroughly enjoyed this roaming experience at Shenzhen Anime Convention Day 2, and I hope to try out more diverse styles for Honkai: Star Rail in the future.
