Upon receiving this \"Hymn of Undying Life\" styling, I was immediately drawn to the bold red-and-white color blocking paired with the mint green wig. The overall visual impact is striking, perfectly complementing the clean, pure red backdrop of the Studio shoot.
For makeup and styling, special attention was given to eye special effects. Wearing a red contact lens in the right eye complemented by red-toned eyeshadow, the single-eye eyepatch design is rare in everyday makeup, requiring repeated adjustments to fit snugly without looking fake, while maintaining expressive emotional presence across both eyes. The wig features mint green straight bangs, with the back styled into a long braid finished with a subtle soft pink gradient at the tips. This color contrast adds a touch of softness to the overall ensemble, preventing the vibrant red outfit from feeling overwhelming.
In terms of costume details, the upper body uses a white tube top base connected to thin black shoulder straps. The red necktie and dangling long tassels around the neck serve as indispensable visual focal points. To break convention, arms feature asymmetric styling: the left upper arm carries a cross-shaped tattoo sticker, while sleeve covers feature a red-and-white color-blocked puffy bubble sleeve on one side and layered red cloth wrappings on the other, finished with white lace trim at the wrists. On the lower body, black stockings with red stripes are a key element for highlighting body contours; combined with thigh straps, leather belt metal buckles, and red platform high heels, the entire outfit looks exceptionally sharp and ideal for showcasing leg silhouettes.
Two key props were used in this shoot: a violin and a red yarn ball. The wooden violin inherently exudes a classical yet slightly melancholic aura; when holding the violin, hand postures required adjustment due to shoulder straps to avoid blocking the large red bow tie across the chest. The red yarn ball was used for dynamic snapshots—its soft material created unique motion trails when swung, echoing flying red ribbon streamers behind to build fantastic foreground-to-background depth.
Special thanks to Pulao 411 for photographing this set; finding such a compatible photographer during a TFP collaboration was truly fortunate. Initially, I was somewhat worried that a pure red background might swallow the red costume accents. However, during the Studio shoot, adjusting key light direction built bright highlights on the white tube top and arms, cleanly separating the character's silhouette—a testament to mastering lighting and composition in Portrait photography.
Across the photo set, we experimented with seated and standing poses, alongside alternating use of the violin and red yarn ball. While posing, I intentionally sought body curve angles—especially in full-body standing shots, allowing arms to sweep naturally. The photographer's capture pacing was prompt, seizing dynamic moments of tassels and streamers airborne, making these flat 2D visuals radiate vibrant vitality. Though requiring repeated adjustments of wig fibers and costume folds throughout shooting, seeing the final light-and-shadow texture brought immense satisfaction.
