[Furina cosplay] Monday KTV Fully Booked: My Idol Shoot Plan Got Ruined!

Today was supposed to be packed with plans: an indoor idol-style shoot at a KTV in the afternoon, followed by a night shoot in a small garden once the sun went down and the heat cooled off. But when I excitedly rushed to the KTV, the receptionist stunned me with a polite, \"Sorry, all private rooms are fully booked today.\" It's Monday! How could a KTV be fully booked on a Monday?! Is everyone on holiday, or did the entire city decide to go karaoke today? I stood in the lobby frozen for ten seconds, almost bursting into tears.

But once I calmed down and thought about it, doing cosplay is inherently full of unexpected hiccups. Every outdoor shoot comes with its own set of surprises—weather, venues, lighting, or even absurd situations like today's full booking. Since KTV was out of the question, I simply found a few clean corners near local cafes and streets to snap some shots using natural light and my phone. Today I wore Furina's iconic Genshin Impact outfit: a Silver-white wig cut short paired with a blue-and-black Gothic Lolita styled dress. The metallic star and cross accents on the headpiece are remarkably intricate. To emphasize an idol's stage presence, I deliberately made the eye makeup sparklier; blue lenses paired with a soft peach lip gloss gave the overall face a clean, refreshed finish.

The chest area features a vintage silver brooch with dangling pearl chains that ground the visual weight nicely, complemented by black semi-translucent lace sleeves and a dark blue ruffled choker—turning slightly sideways in photos effortlessly showcases shoulder and collarbone lines. I had brought fill lights and reflectors along, but missing out on KTV actually led me to discover more natural street photography angles. Under the 3 or 4 PM afternoon sunlight, the Silver-white wig casts a soft cool sheen. Paired with beige background walls and tiny knick-knacks on display shelves, it gave off an unexpectedly cozy, everyday gap-moé charm.

I tried to keep my expression relaxed during the shoot. After all, Furina naturally exudes an elegant aura, but experiencing today's small setback added a subtle touch of stubborn determination to my face, which I found to be a uniquely fitting interpretation. The dangling pearl chains on the skirt hem and the dark blue ribbons at the waist offer rich layering; post-processing only required slight skin brightening and blue-tone enhancement to recreate that exquisite, glamorous texture.

Although I couldn't complete the planned two full sets in the KTV and garden today, this unexpected turn of events made me cherish every press of the shutter even more. Regrouping my spirits, I'll reshoot the indoor studio sets and night scenes next week—here's hoping the venues cooperate then!
