[Traveler cosplay] A Journey Across Stars: Lightness and Style Captured in the Sunlight

This outfit is rich in details, especially the white, blue, and gold tri-color combination, which is visually very refreshing. Actually, before finalizing the makeup, I wrestled for a long time regarding the wig styling, because the character's sidelocks and bangs during the journey are highly distinctive in motion. This time, I specially asked a wig stylist to do trimming and layering treatments, paired with a light blonde hair color, making the hair strands look incredibly light under the light. For the eye makeup, I chose reddish-brown contact lenses combined with a slightly smudged red eyeshadow at the outer corners of the eyes to make the gaze look more translucent and better fit the desired sense of agility.

The main body of the costume consists of three colors—white, blue, and gold—and the tailoring fits the body shape very well. The fabric of the white part is chosen to be quite crisp, making it less prone to excessive wrinkles during casual posing, while the light blue trim adds a touch of coolness to the overall look. The gold totem emblem on the chest and the decorative pieces on the side of the waist are the crowning touches of the entire outfit, paired with the black inner straps, making it highly eye-catching in terms of color contrast. On the legs are custom over-the-knee boots, with a white upper complemented by gold trim. This not only visually elongates the body proportions but also showcases a certain beauty of lines when paired with specific standing poses. They don't feel heavy to wear, but instead beautifully complement the overall look.

The lighting on the day of the shoot was exceptionally good. We chose an indoor space with large floor-to-ceiling windows for the shoot. The light spilled down through the glass, not only softly illuminating the skin, but the natural greenery outside the window also added a lot of vitality to the photo background, preventing it from looking too dull. When composing and posing, we intentionally switched between half-body and full-body shots. For example, in that full-body standing photo, I turned my body slightly with my legs naturally apart and one hand resting near my neck. This angle can comprehensively display the overall silhouette of the costume and the texture of the boots, with perfect proportions and tension.

The last set of images wearing a flower crown is also one of my personal favorites. Holding the flower crown loosely above my head, combined with a slight tilt of the head, it feels like instantly capturing that cozy feeling of stopping during the journey to feel the breeze and sunlight. The other photos showing playful gestures were intended to make the frame look more lively. The entire shooting process was actually quite physically demanding, but seeing these final finished photos captured under natural light gave me a great sense of accomplishment. I feel that so-called cosplay is not just about wearing the right clothes, but more importantly, about finding the emotion and state that the character should have in a specific environment.

When expressing the character's state, I tried my best to be relaxed yet firm. After all, this character gives off a feeling of being resilient yet gentle. Therefore, in these photos, my expressions are not intentionally exaggerated but are dominated by tiny smiles and changes in my gaze, attempting to shape an atmosphere of still being full of curiosity and goodwill toward the world, even while on a journey. Although the outfit has many accessories and takes time to put on and take off, I didn't feel restricted when taking photos; instead, because of the layers of the skirt hem, there was a flowing feeling when making movements.

In summary, this set of photos presents my own understanding and restoration of this character. The transparency of the light, the tailoring details of the costume, and the emotional expression during the shoot combined together to ultimately present this set of works that I love very much.
