Preparing this Cyrene outfit from material selection to production took nearly two months. To recreate that lightweight texture, the skirt hem and lining were made from varying weights of chiffon and pearlescent fabrics, allowing them to display richly layered gradient colors under natural light. The geometric halo structure of the headpiece needed to be stable yet look elegant and flowing, so a lightweight internal skeleton support was made to avoid putting too much burden on the head when worn. The styling of the wig also took a lot of effort; different curls were applied to the pink bangs in the front and the long hair in the back to maintain a fluffy and natural airy feel under the lens.
This shoot took place outdoors at night, combining a starry sky dreamscape with a live flower sea setup. The colors of the artificial nebula echoed the pink-and-blue gradient of the skirt. Post-processing preserved the shimmering butterflies and starlight embellishments, bringing the overall atmosphere closer to the dreamlike and ethereal intertwining found in Honkai: Star Rail. Trying to capture natural dynamic movements by the water or at the edge of the flower bushes heavily tested our coordination. Thanks to the photographer's precise timing, we were able to lock in the flying arc of the skirt hem at the exact moment it froze. When the final photos came out, I felt that all previous hardships were completely worth it. Being able to bring the character into reality in this way was a very special experience.
