On this special day, I specifically chose a Xianzhou style garden corridor to take this set of March 7th photos as a birthday commemoration. I had been studying the details of this Xianzhou style costume for a while; the gold prints on the collar and the lotus ornament at the waist actually really tested handcraft skills, and it looks richly layered when worn. The red outerwear and white lining look very bright and translucent under the sunlight, and paired with the meticulously trimmed pink double-bun wig, the overall silhouette really stands out. Before the shoot, I specially adjusted the eye makeup, putting a lot of effort into blending the eyeshadow to recreate the clarity of her blue eyes.

The photographer, Ba Cifang Gen, is amazing at capturing angles. In the first photo, I raised my hand and made a playful gesture toward the camera. At that exact moment, sunlight pierced through the eaves and fell on my shoulder, creating a beautiful halo and making the image incredibly translucent. The next few photos mainly featured the prop longsword prepared for this shoot. This sword is actually quite heavy; holding it while kneeling on one knee or striking the crouching sword-swinging pose in the photo really tests core strength. At that time, to capture the coolest moment, I repeatedly adjusted my center of gravity for the same set of movements, which was the most challenging yet rewarding part of this cosplay photography session.

During the breaks, I drank a glass of orange juice to recharge. The photographer snapped a shot from a perspective of me handing over the drink. That atmosphere of leaning close to the lens feels very casual and slice-of-life, breaking up the rigidness of a serious posed shoot, as if I'm interacting with you directly from within the frame. In the last photo, I added a glowing lightbulb effect, which perfectly fits today's playful, "imaginative" vibe, bringing out the character's slightly oblivious yet energetic feel. The light changed very quickly on the day of the shoot; to ensure a consistent color temperature, I specifically did color balancing during retouching so that the white fabric and pink hair wouldn't clash. I'm really happy to release a satisfying set of photos for my birthday this time. The photography, makeup, and styling coordinated seamlessly, truly doing justice to this specially prepared outfit.
