[Aemeath Cosplay] A Journey in Wuthering Waves, The Sound of Falling Snow

The moment I put on Aemeath's outfit and stood in front of the lens, it felt as if I could truly hear the sound of falling snow. This costume has so many intricate design details, from the star-shaped ornaments on the long pink hair to the combination of the gold trim and the primary white color scheme—all filled with an ethereal and mysterious texture. The theme of this photoshoot is centered around "The sound of falling snow." To fit this atmosphere, the photographer and I put a lot of thought into the use of light and shadow. The transparent light-effect weapon in the photo is actually quite heavy to hold, requiring strict control over poses. To present a feeling of swinging it lightly, I repeatedly adjusted the angle and strength of my arms. The fabric of the costume is highly sensitive to light, especially the white parts. Reflecting under the studio's high-light environment, capturing a sense of layering relies heavily on the understanding of the lens. The microphone prop next to me represents another form of the prop; paired with the static light-dot special effects that resemble frozen water, it better conveys the character's unique temperament. In terms of styling the wig, to recreate the flow and layers, we used a lot of hair pieces for fixing and shaping, ensuring it won't look stiff even during large movements. This combination of highly saturated pink and light blue looks very transparent under the camera lens. Although the cosplay photography process was very tough, seeing the light effects perfectly blend into the outfit and expression in the final photos makes all the effort worthwhile. The challenge for the makeup this time lay in balancing the girl's liveliness with the cool and aloof nature of the character setting; the choice of lip shades and the transition of eyeshadow required repeated attempts. I'm very glad to have had such an opportunity to deeply understand the core of the character, using detailed recreation to convey the character's story. Next, I plan to carry this passion forward and continue exploring more interesting forms of roleplay expression in my future journeys.
