I finally wore Lucia's full gear out to this convention. From adjusting the wig's styling to the position of the metal buckles on the thigh rings, every single detail was repeatedly checked in the hotel beforehand. Especially with this folding fan prop in my hand, the strength needed to open and close it had to sync with my hand gestures. To find the most natural holding angle during the shoot, I squatted in place and tried several times. Fortunately, the on-site photographer was very patient and gave a lot of feedback.

Posing while sitting on the folding ladder is actually more tiring than it looks because I had to keep my back straight while controlling the curve of my ankles, ensuring that the indentations from the white thigh-high socks and the bare feet showed the best lines. However, the tailoring of this costume is truly wonderful; the main black and blue color-blocking shows a low-profile luster under the ceiling lights of the exhibition hall, and the lacing on the chest along with the copper coin accessories at the waist add great layers. The lighting at the convention venue is quite complex; in some spots, the overhead light is too harsh and washes out the shadows. We intentionally chose this area with diffused light refraction to blur the background bokeh spots and the distant crowd, allowing the character to pop out completely.

The most interesting part of doing cosplay is character accuracy. Lucia's lively and agile temperament is reflected in her gaze and micro-expressions, so during the shoot, I tried my best to relax my facial muscles, letting my gaze fall naturally to the side of the lens to create an atmosphere of interacting with the audience. The painting on the prop fan also echoed my nail color, which were all results of repeated discussions with the makeup artist during preparation. Although I sweated a lot running around the venue, seeing such clear textures in the final photos—especially with the metal reflections and skin translucency perfectly preserved—makes me feel that all the effort was worth it.

The lighting for this set of photos referenced a cinematic style without excessively bumping up the saturation, preserving the unique atmosphere that mixes cyberpunk and Chinese elements. If I attend conventions in other cities in the future, I will probably bring this costume to shoot some outdoor interactive scenes, such as dynamic snapshots under street neon lights. However, this set of convention photos today has already made me very satisfied. Thanks to my photographer friend who squatted down with me to find the best angles, and thank you to the players who recognized me at the scene; your encouragement made me forget all my fatigue in an instant.
