This Ganyu costume truly has a lot of details; from the Cryo Vision at the waist to the red string wraps on the feet, every accessory took effort to restore. To capture an Eastern charm that fits the character from Genshin Impact, I specifically chose an old architectural outdoor location with stone bridges and flying eaves, traveling a distance of hundreds of kilometers.
During the on-site shoot, the lighting and wind were both fantastic, especially for the set where I was holding an oil-paper umbrella while standing on the stone railing, which captured dynamic candid shots of the skirt hem and hair strands blowing in the wind. However, outdoor shooting definitely tests physical endurance; standing in high heels for a long time makes the soles of my feet hurt, but it's all worth it for the final results.
In post-processing, the contrast was lowered slightly to make the blue and white clothing stand out more against the gray-green tile backdrop, while also preserving the texture of the skin. Anime cosplay is a form of magic brought to reality. Being able to bring a character from a flat surface into real scenery is inherently a very fulfilling thing. This official photoshoot is not just a release of photos, but more of an experience of traveling together with the character.
