The lighting inside the sanctuary was extraordinarily soft. Shooting this cosplay for Remielle was filled with intricate nuances across both wardrobe and props. To faithfully reflect this character's distinct aura from Zenless Zone Zero, extensive preparation took place beforehand. The wig was a pastel pink blunt-bob, subtly transitioned with a blue-violet ombré at the ends, crowned by metallic star ornaments and carefully trimmed side bangs framing the face. For makeup, blue-violet contact lenses provided the crowning touch, paired with defined eye contours and soft pink lips. Adding those pointed, outward-flaring prosthetic ears instantly maxed out the magical essence of an Elf Angel.
The architecture of this white fantasy gown is remarkably complex. The off-the-shoulder halter top features a light-blue ribbon and star-shaped gemstone clasp at the mandarin collar. Intricate front lacing with star-shaped metallic buttons and lavender tassel accents brings rich structural layering. The detached oversized bell sleeves are accented by delicate ruffles and touches of pink. For the lower half, a white miniskirt is layered over blue-violet translucent tulle panels, mimicking a plumage-like feathered hemline. To enhance weightless flutter, a pair of translucent lavender wing props with fine crystalline shimmer rested upon my back. The legs featured White stockings attached to garter straps, complemented by silver rhinestone-encrusted stiletto heels adorned with white bows. Donning this attire required endless adjustments to secure every connector seamlessly.
The shoot took place in an all-white indoor architectural set featuring classical plaster sculptures, Roman columns, balustrades, and silver candelabras casting faint ambient glows, with faux pink flora lining the steps. High-key, cool-toned lighting flooded the scene with soft, uniform illumination devoid of harsh cast shadows, brilliantly emphasizing the dress tailoring and sparkling prop textures.
In posing, I explored diverse camera angles. Given the skirt silhouette and long hosiery, seated poses were crucial—balancing poised composure without becoming stiff. Sitting on the steps with crossed legs not only showcased the leg contours and stilettos, but also utilized the expansive fan of the skirt and wings to enrich compositional volume. For half-body close-ups, extending one arm forward while resting the other against my chest with direct eye contact fostered intimate connection. Gestures like grazing my head with one hand while sweeping the other outward showcased sleeve drape and flowing textiles. To preserve visual tension, dynamic leg lines required shifting body weight, ensuring the wings were never crushed or deformed.
The lore of an Elf Angel naturally carries an aloof, sacred mystique. When emoting, I maintained a gentle smile with a slight curve in my eyes—striking a balance that was neither overly icy nor excessively sweet. The entire session went smoothly; the studio ambiance and lighting matched the look seamlessly, and the final frames captured our envisioned mood. Giving tangible form to an image from a virtual realm remains an immensely fulfilling creative triumph.
