[Ganyu Cosplay] Genshin Impact Chinese-Western eclectic style Convention Photo Log

This time at Firefly Comic Con, I tried a Chinese-Western eclectic style look for Ganyu. The entire outfit blends traditional Hanfu and Western dress elements over a blue-and-white foundation. The top features a high-collared white shirt with golden pattern accents, layered beneath wide-sleeved light blue outerwear and a white apron edged with delicate lace trim. The skirt is not only an ideal length for natural movement, but also printed with exquisite white rabbit and cloud patterns. The light blue wavy wig, paired with side floral hair accessories and tricolor red-black-yellow geometric ornaments, balanced the ethereal elegance while adding a crisp 2D touch.

For makeup to match the overall style, I chose pale violet-red colored contacts to complement the cool palette. The eye makeup emphasized elongated eye lines with distinctly drawn lower lashes for a lively, spirited expression. Sunlight was fantastic on the day of the shoot; wanting to preserve the authentic light and shadow feedback of raw convention photos, we avoided relying on heavy post-processing. The drape of the wide outer sleeves paired with the layered lace apron beneath created a wonderful textural contrast, which is precisely the most charming aspect of Chinese-Western eclectic style.

The first picture is a close-up I adore—hands clasped gently before my chest under the sunlight, giving off an obedient, gentle demeanor. In subsequent full-body shots, the photographer captured me lifting the skirt hem and spinning: the wide blue sleeves billowing in the air revealed the rabbit motif along the hem, perfectly showcasing the garment's dynamic flow. We didn't force overly sensual poses; because Ganyu's persona is serene and graceful, capturing relatively calm and organic interactions felt most fitting. For footwear, white platform shoes were chosen to match the clean, refreshing aesthetic.

Preparing this styling took quite a bit of time, especially finding skirt pieces and lace items that harmonized seamlessly with the Chinese-Western eclectic concept, and I was thrilled with the final result. In the crowded, bustling environment of the convention, the photographer did their best to avoid foot traffic and provide clean backdrops, emphasizing the garment hues and hair color. Although the process was tiring, presenting an alternative facet of the character offered a fresh interpretation of her essence. As everyday convention photos, capturing these moments was more than enough to record the wonderful mood of the day. It was a thoroughly delightful shooting experience.
