Shooting Ganyu's HEYTEA collaboration coordinate this time took a lot of careful thought regarding styling details. This outfit ingeniously blends traditional Chinese elements with modern tailoring, delivering a distinct and captivating visual tension. The white lace of the top reflects delicate jacquard undertones under warm lighting, while the semi-sheer chiffon sleeves serve as one of the major highlights of the entire look. To capture that breezy lightness on camera, we deliberately softened the key light and used side-backlighting to trace the contours of the arms, preserving the airy sheer texture without letting harsh highlights wash out the silhouette.
The black pleated skirt on the bottom has a crisp, structured drape, swaying into gorgeous arcs with every step. The most eye-catching part is certainly the blue-and-white diamond pattern spliced along the front, echoing the blue tones of the wig perfectly. The metallic buckle and yellow tassel ornament at the waist create a vibrant focal point against the dark hemline. Paired with black patent leather high heels, the calf lines are beautifully elongated. In the seated shots, crossing my legs not only adhered to the character's refined poise, but also maximized the sleek, flowing leg contours in frame for a truly captivating composition.
The traditional venue setup was another huge asset. Ink calligraphy paintings, carved wooden fretwork folding screens, and a few sprigs of vibrant red plum blossoms set an authentic classical mood. The purple round fan in my hand proved to be a versatile interactive prop—whether held up to veil half the face, rested gently against the cheek, or laid casually across the lap, it allowed the lens to capture vivid, nuanced expressions. To enrich the variety of shots, I alternated between standing, formal kneeling, and leaning postures. Leaning slightly forward to adjust my high heels, for instance, showed off the side slit and drape of the skirt while conveying an unforced, candid grace.
The wig was smoothed to a silky finish, and the iconic red-and-black horns on top were specially structured to keep their shape and retain dimensional definition across various camera angles. Violet circle lenses looked remarkably clear amidst the warm environment, complementing the eye makeup to enhance that signature 2D anime feel. The entire session was an ongoing refinement of nuances—from centering the golden bell bowtie at the collar to positioning the lace wrist cuffs under the lights. This coordinate preserves high character recognition while offering an endearing touch of modern lifestyle contrast. After wrapping up the full shoot, an iced beverage was indeed the perfect way to cool down, bringing this shoot to a satisfying close.
