This shoot took place within a traditional Japanese-style garden framed by stone lanterns and timber corridors, establishing an ambiance that harmonized naturally with the lore of the Grand Narukami Shrine from Genshin Impact. To authentically embody Lady Yae Miko, cosmetic styling focused on accentuating the eye contours, paired with a soft pink side-ponytail wig and azure contact lenses. The wardrobe featured a modernized Japanese ceremonial ensemble in crimson, white, and obsidian, where the gilded Vision accessory anchored across the chest and the draped shoulder outerwear served as primary visual highlights.

Blessed with radiant daylight, the photographer utilized a Sony A7M4 paired with a versatile zoom lens, an optimal focal range in a garden for balancing contextual portraits with tight, intimate hand gestures. We explored varied seated postures across the wooden engawa veranda. To articulate her hallmark blend of regal grace and sly languor, I crossed my legs, leaned forward slightly, and extended an arm toward the lens while holding direct eye contact. Sustaining this pose demanded consistent core stabilization, leaving my lower back aching over long takes, but the captured frames justified every second. Navigating pebble pathways and stone flagstones in strapped sandals required deliberate footwork to preserve poised balance. Folding fans and assorted props scattered nearby also contributed immensely, enriching the quiet seating scenes with narrative nuance.

Post-processing avoided aggressive skin smoothing, deliberately preserving natural tonal transitions sculpted by ambient daylight. Mottled leaf shadows cascading across the timber walkways and silk garments provided that organic textural charm unique to outdoor shoots. An unexpected hurdle arose from dense garden flora attracting swarms of mosquitoes, prompting frantic insect repellent spritzes between takes; yet the moment the shutter rolled, everyone locked back into character. The pacing was brisk from midday until the sunset softened, letting deep architectural wood tones and vivid pink hair strike a dramatic chromatic contrast under the golden hour.
