This time at the Xi'an Dreamland Comic Convention, I brought an Ann Takamaki cosplay from Persona 5. The highlight of this outfit is the Bodysuit cosplay crafted from high-gloss red material, where the metallic zipper and chest ring design give the overall silhouette a remarkably sleek look. Putting on this gear paired with pink opera gloves and tall boots, you can distinctly feel the flamboyant, confident aura of Panther.

Not only does it look gorgeous, but wearing it also presents a serious challenge. The red catsuit catches the convention lights with stunning reflections, yet it is completely non-breathable. Combined with the blonde Twintails that required securing with bobby pins, staying in character all day was quite physically exhausting. To faithfully recreate the character, I made subtle adjustments to the details—ensuring clear sight through the cat-ear mask and balancing the weight of the long tail behind me so it wouldn't hinder my movement.

In terms of shooting, the convention floor was rather crowded and chaotic, making clean compositions quite difficult to capture. This time, I experimented with both kneeling poses and close-up angles, finding the best postures to accentuate the curves of this Bodysuit cosplay. I feel this kind of dynamic, slightly sultry battle suit fits Ann Takamaki's design wonderfully, delivering a powerful visual impact. The shooting process was an absolute blast; there were so many fellow fans on-site whose enthusiasm for this character gave me immense confidence, allowing me to fully immerse myself in expressing her sharp, confident presence.

In fact, the lyric "stealing your gaze" perfectly captures Ann Takamaki's vibe in Persona 5. To convey that feeling, I tested various gestures and facial expressions. Walking around the convention over the two weekend days, this costume turned plenty of heads—though tiring, it brought a tremendous sense of accomplishment. In particular, the metallic texture and reflections of the zipper were the trickiest parts of the outfit to capture, yet they best showcase Ann Takamaki's unique blend of sensuality and combat prowess.

Looking back on the whole experience, my greatest takeaway was simply the joy of stepping into character. Diligently tweaking the curve of the wig and mindfully controlling the scope of each movement yielded results I'm genuinely pleased with. Participating directly in an on-site convention like this is vastly different from routine studio shoots—it feels much more authentic, vibrant, and alive.
