[Skirk Cosplay] The Serene Beauty of Interwoven Blue and White: Genshin Impact Character Portrayal

This set of Skirk convention photos was taken at the IJOY anime convention. Working with photographer @📷舟, we searched for spots with suitable lighting inside the venue. Due to the heavy foot traffic, we chose a quiet corner with a background of sliding glass doors casting a bluish reflection, right next to a black folding trolley used for moving supplies. To keep the costume and stockings clean, we laid out a small greyish-white faux-fur rug on the dusty concrete floor as our rest and shooting area.

The costume overall has a lot of detailed craftsmanship. The upper half is mainly made of stitched white and sky-blue fabrics, with the hem designed in sliced panels. The black crossed leather belts stretching from chest to waist support the visual structure of the outfit, and the form-fitting cut looks quite sharp. The golden multi-pointed star emblem right at the center of the chest is a key feature, catching the venue's overhead lights nicely. Around the neck is a wide black choker, creating a striking color contrast against the main blue and white palette.

The asymmetrical design of the arms is very unique. The left arm features a blue detachable sleeve with white trim and tassels, while the right arm has a glossy dark blue long glove covering the entire forearm. The strong reflection of the glove's faux-leather material, combined with the fabric elements, adds rich layering to the look. The lower body is paired with glossy blue tights decorated with white geometric accents. The blue-violet boots feature laser-textured geometric line decorations around the ankles, giving them a sleek futuristic feel.

For makeup and hair, the silver-grey long straight wig was trimmed into multiple layered strands, with a slightly longer fringe in front to frame the face. A blue feather hairpiece was pinned to the top, swaying gently with movement. The eye makeup was paired with light-colored contact lenses and subtle reddish eyeshadow to soften the cold tone of the wig, giving the eyes a more vibrant and gentle look.

For the poses, I adopted a side-seated posture, shifting weight to one side while extending the other leg naturally toward the front. This sitting pose makes it easy to showcase the full details of the costume while naturally highlighting the leg lines. My hands rested lightly on the edge of the chest fabric—no forced gestures needed, just keeping the body relaxed. In reality, this pose requires engaging the core slightly to keep the upper body upright so the photos don't look slouched.

Shooting cosplay in a real convention environment means the background is rarely perfect—like the trolley and glass reflections behind us—but as long as you stay focused on the present moment, you can capture some wonderfully candid and natural shots. The ambient light was on the warmer side, so we tried to minimize interference to present the pure blue and white colors of the outfit. The cool aloofness of the look creates a nice contrast with the industrial style of the venue floor, yielding very satisfying final photos.
