This set of Anime cosplay photoshoot chose a vintage study as the shooting scene. The blue and white color-schemed attire, paired with white wings and a geometric face accessory, presents a serene and slightly mysterious temperament under the dim, warm-toned lighting. The red and black blended wig looks highly layered in the warm light, forming a beautiful color coordination with the white straps and gauze skirt on my body.
When shooting this set, what I wanted to present the most was a state of "taking a nap." To match this theme, I experimented with multiple sitting postures, such as tucking my legs in slightly or gently placing my hands in front of my chest. Combined with the vintage lantern placed beside me, it gives the entire frame a comfortable and peaceful feeling.
In terms of the use of props and lighting, the photographer used smoke cakes to create a dreamlike, illusory smoke effect. Combined with the beam of light pouring down from above and hitting the right side of the character, it not only highlighted the lightweight feel of the head wings but also enhanced the sense of spatial depth.
Regarding details, the geometric face accessory played an embellishing role in this shoot. During the shoot, I would intentionally adjust its angle, utilizing light and shadow to let it form alternating patterns of bright and dark on my face. The blue and white color scheme on the clothing forms a warm-and-cool contrast with the vintage golden ferns and the dark bookcase, making it perfect for displaying that quiet, speechless atmosphere.
Additionally, during the shooting process, the composition guidance given by the photographer was a huge help. The combination of cross-legged sitting postures, slight body tilting, and close-ups adjusting the face piece allowed us to shoot many shots with different feelings. Every time I changed a posture, the gauze skirt would unfold into different shapes on the carpet. This casual yet meticulous way of presentation perfectly fits the Cosplay daily life vibe I wanted. As long as you find the right lighting angle, even ordinary elements in a study can yield an excellent texture for Atmospheric photography.
Overall, the handling from makeup to hair is quite clean and crisp without extra tedious decorations, restoring as much as possible the calm and mysterious characteristics inherent to the character. Although constantly adjusting the skirt hem and white straps during the shoot was time-consuming and took a lot of energy, the final photos beautifully captured that lazy yet elegant everyday feel of a Winged girl.
