[Columbina Cosplay] The Serene Girl Under the Moon in Genshin Impact

Good evening! Today I'm bringing you a Night view cosplay of Columbina. I've always wanted to shoot a moon-themed photo set, and finding this glowing crescent moon installation, combined with the delicate rain-of-light special effects in the background, brought the atmosphere to maximum levels right away. The color scheme of this outfit is dominated by ice blue and white; the semi-transparent tulle water-sleeves and trailing skirt hem really tested the lighting setup. During the shoot, we specially used cold-toned flashlights to darken the surroundings so the pure black background would completely highlight the crescent moon prop and the character's silhouette.

The small feather wings on the headpiece and the pink highlights on both sides are iconic elements of the character. Closing my eyes in front of the lens was actually feeling the evening breeze; to maintain that lightweight yet slightly mysterious feel, I kept my body posture as stretched and relaxed as possible—for example, the direction of my raised leg and arm in the last two photos was aligned with the flow of the star trail effects. The details of the lace-up shoes and thigh rings were definite highlights, but night shooting can easily look too dark, so we specifically brightened those areas during post-processing to create a clearer boundary between the white straps and skin tone. By the way, the little purple flowers among the bushes were real plants that emitted a subtle blue-violet glow under the flash, matching the tones of the outfit perfectly.

We added sparkling light specks and meteor trajectories in post-processing while avoiding over-smoothing the skin to preserve skin texture, since the night's soft lighting carries plenty of atmosphere on its own. From hair and makeup styling to prop setup, a lot of effort went into this set—just adjusting the brightness of the crescent moon lamp took several attempts, as too bright would overexpose and too dark would hide the textures. We even ran into a little surprise during shooting when the wind blew the tulle skirt, naturally creating a fluttering dynamic effect; that spontaneous ease turned out much more vivid than rigid posing.

In truth, every outdoor night shoot is a workout, but seeing these intersecting lights and shadows in the final images makes it all completely worth it. The outfit is complex to put on, especially the multi-layered straps across the chest and the cape, requiring meticulous adjustments. The gradient dye on the wig was also custom-made to ensure a smooth, natural transition from black to pink. Overall, this photo set leans toward a mythical, ethereal beauty without forcing smiles or lively postures, instead conveying another side of the character through stillness and gently closed eyes. I hope everyone can feel this moment of peace of a Girl under the moon through the screen—this is my personal interpretation of Columbina.
