This Azur Lane Chien Wu Qipao cosplay photoshoot is finally meeting everyone. This costume has a very strong visual impact, featuring a large area of orange-red peony flowers printed on a peacock blue base. The neckline is a classic Chinese Mandarin collar, and the chest and waist sides feature modified cutout tailoring, giving the originally conservative Qipao a bit of a sexy flavor. To fit the character's temperament, I matched it with a pair of black lace-trim garter long stockings and black pointed-toe sequined high heels, wore a pearl necklace around my neck, and draped a peach-pink transparent tulle shawl over my arms.
Quite a lot of thought went into the makeup and hairstyle. The black straight-bangs short bob hair looks relatively sharp and capable. A large blue silk flower is pinned to the left side of the head, adorned with a bit of pearl and gold stamens, and golden long tassel earrings are matched on the ears. Red contact lenses are the soul, with red-toned eyeshadow blended around the eye area, and the lip color is also a plump retro red. The overall makeup feeling leans towards cold and glamorous, hoping to present a mysterious and charming atmosphere in front of the lens.
The layout of the shooting venue also has a strong sense of immersion. Wooden screens and carved dressing tables, paired with white cherry blossom branches, celadon vases, red jewelry boxes, and lit candles, created a classical and dim environment. I sat on the floor covered with a white plush blanket, holding a black lace folding fan in my hand, or placing a red cherry close to my lips. During the shooting process, to find the right angles, I changed quite a few poses, such as a cross-legged sitting posture and the action of touching the head flower. The warm light and shadow hitting from the side just outlined the contours of the body shape and costume, with a very good texture.
As a coser, preparing a photoshoot every time is a re-understanding of the character and costume. The pattern of this modified Qipao is very form-fitting, especially with the cutout design, requiring constant attention to posture and anti-exposure measures during shooting. To express the character's lazy yet slightly aggressive feeling, the gaze and body language had to coordinate very closely. The entire shooting process went very smoothly, and I hope everyone likes this blue-green colored Qipao work.
