This black-and-white plaid Witch Lolita coordination was finally brought to life smoothly! Buying this ensemble was truly worth every penny: the bodice features a sleek, form-fitting black pinafore dress worn over a white lace blouse, accented at the bust with a black-and-white plaid bow tie. The lower half cascades into multi-tiered ruffled cake-dress layers adorned with intricate black cut-out embroidery and hemmed with golden lace, creating an exquisite drape with every movement. For headwear, I chose a wide-brimmed black-and-white plaid witch hat accented with a soft white plush pom-pom and delicate bird embellishments; two long black ribbons trail down from the back, fluttering gracefully during walking or posing to build rich atmosphere in this White studio cosplay.

However, the funniest part of this session was definitely the prop staff. Since we couldn't track down the matching broom handle, I had to borrow Marcille's staff on the fly from the neighboring Delicious in Dungeon set. The staff features a circular ring crowned with a green leaf; while it was an amusingly quirky crossover, holding it for a witch-themed shoot actually worked surprisingly well. A mandatory shout-out to Jiang Shujian here—leaving me broomless to fend for myself!

This shoot took place in a white cyclorama studio in Shanghai. The studio lighting was exceptionally clean and uniform, which is ideal for capturing such high-contrast black-and-white garments. To cultivate a porcelain-doll witch presence, I wore light-colored contact lenses, swept pronounced reddish blending across the eye contours and cheeks, and topped it off with long, platinum-blonde wavy curls, evoking a languid, slightly yandere charm. For the lower half, I coordinated a Stocking outfit featuring white ruffled lace ankle socks with glossy black patent-leather chunky-heeled Mary Janes, elongating leg lines while fitting the witchy aesthetic.

We also arranged a Pet and owner photoshoot segment right on set, and interacting with that big, fluffy white dog was pure therapy. The pup was wonderfully cooperative—whether I stood beside him holding the leash or sat down petting him, every resulting frame turned out heartwarming. Throughout the shoot, I explored a wide variety of poses: static compositions standing or sitting with the staff, alongside dynamic snaps like leaping into flight or lying prone on the floor. In particular, that posture where the oversized hat completely shades the face obscures facial expressions yet showcases the intricate silhouette of the garments. To freeze the little witch taking flight, we repeated the jump several times until capturing that perfect instant where the billowing skirt maximized airy lightness. Sitting flat on the floor with legs extended also showcased the crisp details of the patent-leather Mary Janes and white lace mesh socks.

We captured numerous pose variations across this set; the minimalist cyclorama background works wonderfully as a direct drawing reference, with body gestures kept open and fluid. The costume is packed with microscopic details—the tiered ruffles and monochrome embroidery patterns rendered with razor-sharp clarity. Walking away with so many satisfying photos alongside good friends made the purchase completely worthwhile. Everyone loved the final images, and our Zhujie had the absolute time of her life, smiling just like a kid. Choosing this look for a Halloween costume is an absolute hit, and all the pose references are included here for anyone who needs them!
