The nighttime atmosphere of the Lantern Rite is truly maxed out. To capture the agility of Ganyu's styling this set, I deliberately chose the night view of an ancient town hung with red lanterns. The design of this blue halter dress is very sophisticated; the black translucent tulle paired with the metal neck ornament on the chest provides layering without appearing heavy. The asymmetric cut of the skirt hem and the swallowtail train at the back create a wonderful arc when walking, coupled with the golden flowing cloud embroidery, the details are extremely faithful. I am also particularly satisfied with the state of the long red tassels swaying in the wind, adding a bright splash of color to the overall cool-toned palette.

The wig styling and makeup also took a lot of thought. To match the warm yellow lighting of the night view, the eye makeup chose purple-reddish contact lenses, forming a contrast with the blue hair color. The red and black hair ornaments on top of the head added a lot of recognition to the styling. The long black gloves on the hands feature a trumpet-sleeve design, providing a great sense of extension when holding the umbrella and posing. For the legs, metal leg rings were chosen instead of regular stockings, which better highlights the leg lines and the overall lightness of the costume.

The prop, this oil-paper umbrella, features light blue and white tones, and the texture of the ribs is very solid. During the shoot, I tried various umbrella-holding poses, such as holding the umbrella upright over the head, or folding the umbrella and placing it beside the body. When holding the umbrella in a squatting position, I deliberately brought the umbrella close to the ground, which not only balances the composition but also utilizes the reflection of the ground to supplement some dark-area details. The hardest part of night shooting is controlling the light. To keep the skin tone translucent in the warm yellow ambient light, the angle and intensity of the main light source were repeatedly tested. The final photos retain the lively background of the Lantern Rite without letting the character get swallowed by the background.

Every time I do a cosplay, I hope to add a bit of my own understanding on top of restoration. The Lantern Festival emphasizes reunion, and the Lantern Rite is also a very grand festival in the game. Combining these two elements made this shoot particularly meaningful to me. Every single picture in this photo set tries its best to showcase the quiet yet vibrant state of the character under the brilliantly lit night. I hope that while enjoying them, everyone can also feel the warm and lively atmosphere of the night lantern fair. Happy The Lantern Festival to everyone, may the bright moon always accompany us, and may everyone in the human world find reunion.

This shoot took about a week from conception to actual completion. A lot of effort was also spent finding accessories with matching textures to gather the appropriate metal ornaments and leg rings. Besides the costume itself, the color grading of the overall frame is also a key point. The warm tones of the ancient town's lanterns contrast with the character's blue hair and blue clothes. To make the photos more narrative, I tried my best to convey a serene beauty through gaze and actions.
