[Eyjafjalla Cosplay] Arknights: The Quiet Private Photoshoot of the Summer Little Sheep - Image 1

This shoot of Eyjafjalla's swimsuit style finally freezes that agile and dreamy summer atmosphere of the little sheep into real frames.

Let's first talk about the makeup and hair, which is the biggest highlight this time. To fit the traits of the character Eyjafjalla, I specially chose this gradient wig from brownish red to bright pink. This twin-tail hairstyle paired with fluffy sheep ear hair accessories brings a vast sense of volume visually, and with the embellishment of pink flower hair ties, it makes the layers of the entire head exceptionally rich. To highlight the translucent feel of the summer swimsuit look, the eye makeup chose a relatively soft red-pink palette, paired with pink contact lenses, making the gaze look more innocent and focused like a little sheep. The lip makeup used a glossy texture to keep the makeup from looking heavy.

Regarding the costume, the details of this pink and white plaid swimsuit style actually heavily test details. The ruffle design not only adds playfulness to the neckline and cuffs but also beautifully shapes the shoulder lines; the off-the-shoulder and waist-baring tailoring is highly refreshing in summer shoots. The pink and white plaid fabric carries a subtle reflective texture under the purple lights, which, combined with the soft-focus effect in the photos, looks like it comes with a built-in hazy filter. The accompanying dark thorny scepter prop is a finishing touch; it breaks up the sweet cloyingly rich feel of the overall pink palette, adorned with several white faux flowers to give this look both natural wildness and magical gentleness. Every time I shoot postures with long-handled props, I need to carefully adjust the holding force and angles of my arms, needing both to keep the scepter stable and to avoid looking stiff; the shooting process requires repeated attempts to find that casual relaxed state.

Creating the scene atmosphere is vital for this photo set. The backdrop inside the studio was very dedicatedly prepared, with rich ferns and green leaves arranged behind me, coordinating with the soft light purple lights at the top to create a boundaryless magical forest environment. This clash of green plants and purple light effects both echoes the natural attributes of the little sheep character and carries a hint of a dreamy feel. The entire shooting process was very smooth. The photographer @凑šŸ“· is exceptionally skilled at capturing the atmosphere. We experimented with many different light angles and postures, such as gazing while simply hugging the staff, or turning around slightly to reveal costume details, with each single frame presenting a different emotion.

Regarding this look, I actually wanted to get as close as possible to the soul of the character in many details. The setting of the character Eyjafjalla carries a scholar-like serenity, but simultaneously possesses that lively affinity of sheep-like creatures. In terms of expression, I deliberately reduced large-scale movements, using a calm and composed facial expression to showcase her inner spirit of exploration, and conveying her gentleness through soft body language. Amidst the complex cosplay preparation work, I paid special attention to the fit of the clothing and the grip of the props, and also adjusted the wrinkles and directions of the skirt hem many times during the photography process, just to ensure that no cluttered lines would appear in the photos.

This full day of experience was highly fulfilling. From applying makeup in the morning to finally completing the shoot, although it was tiring, seeing the final presented colors and composition makes me feel everything was completely worth it. The photographer's lighting was very clever, beautifully highlighting the texture of the costume and the transparency of the hair strands. I hope everyone can feel that exclusive magic belonging to the summer little sheep that I worked hard to create through this set of photos.
