[Columbina Cosplay] Genshin Impact FES Live Shots, Non-Lighted Smartphone Behind-the-Scenes Share

Behind-the-scenes snippets from Genshin Impact FES Day 2! I took some photos directly with my smartphone today. Actually, I didn't bring any lighting equipment at all, relying entirely on the high overhead ceiling lights in the venue. The lighting environment inside was truly deadly, with mixed warm and cool lights; standing even slightly off-center would cast heavy shadows on your face or clothes. Fortunately, the wig colors I chose this time had a strong contrast—the black-and-red gradient maintained great recognizability under most lighting, and the white-and-blue outfit also helped reflect light in dimmer areas.

For the cosplay costume worn at the event, the wig featured a black-to-red gradient dye, with the red section concentrated on both sides of the bangs and the hair tips. The hair texture and drape were quite crucial for recreating this state. To avoid the awkwardness of the bangs blocking my view, I trimmed them slightly to ensure my eyesight around the eyes remained clear while walking around the venue. The material of this outfit utilized a combination of slightly shimmering satin and translucent sheer gauze, and the off-the-shoulder design kept the neck and shoulder lines looking quite clean. The white criss-cross straps on the neck and the little wing ornaments on the head all needed to be secured very carefully to prevent shifting in the crowded venue.

The booth setup on the day of shooting was exceptionally thoughtful. The massive light-blue plaster-textured wing sculpture in the background was truly breathtaking, and the floor area around it was covered in blue transparent acrylic petals, refracting a crisp, cold light under the hall's spotlights, just like crystals after snow melts. I intentionally chose to shoot in front of and to the side of the sculpture, using it as a backdrop. The daytime natural light filtered down through the high ceiling windows, and combined with the bounce light from the blue petals on the floor, the entire frame took on a cool-toned, dreamy quality, which is hard to come by in an exhibition environment.

Since everything was straight from a smartphone without professional reflectors or fill lights, the shoot was mostly about finding the right angles. For instance, the camera position for sitting under the sculpture used a low angle, which successfully avoided the uneven skin tones caused by the yellowish overhead lighting. As a character who leans toward a lazy or stationary state, I didn't execute too many flashy poses. When taking the seated photo, I naturally placed both hands on my knees, tilted my head slightly, and paired it with a cool expression, making it very easy to capture that serene, ethereal feeling. The hair tips of the wig naturally fell over the blue petals behind me, and the details of the white stocking thigh ring were fully displayed.

The entire set of photos did not undergo complex highlight or shadow adjustments, preserving the authentic texture of the live convention. Although some of the illuminated surfaces on the figure looked less soft due to the venue lighting, this straight-out-of-camera vibe actually fits my personal understanding of convention documentation better. Seeing so many people holding up phones or cameras to shoot at the venue, connecting with the offline events of the Genshin Impact Creator Incentives program, and genuinely documenting every moment of meeting offline is highly meaningful in itself. This set of behind-the-scenes snippets is not just a restoration of the character, but also captures my most relaxed state on site. Because it wasn't a professional studio shoot, it felt more casual, treating the convention like a playground and capturing a set of images with real warmth through the lens to share with friends who like this look.
