The inspiration for this photo set actually came from the classic line "I often remember the sunset pavilion by the stream". The weather on the day of the shoot was wonderful, where the blue sky and white clouds formed a picturesque color contrast with the painted dougong brackets of the ancient architecture. I wore a blue-and-white chest-high ruqun topped with an ethereal, translucent wide-sleeved robe. Enhanced by the gentle breeze and sunlight, this sheer tulle fabric easily delivers that fresh and clear girl aesthetic. For the hairstyle, double-looped buns were styled, adorned with light blue and pinkish-white silk flowers, along with blue butterfly hairpins to echo the garment's palette. The makeup was kept as light and natural as possible, emphasizing a soft touch of red at the outer corners of the eyes and a translucent base to withstand outdoor natural light.

To capture dynamic, fluttering fabric movement in traditional Chinese style photography poses, grab the skirt hem and turn gently in the opposite direction first, then turn back naturally right as the shutter clicks. When holding the lotus blossom, avoid holding it stiffly upright; try gently bowing your head to scent it or half-covering your face with the round fan to soften the frame. When shooting along the covered corridors with red pillars, utilize the columns as natural frames. The afternoon light is relatively soft as sunlight filters through leaves onto the flagstone path, ideal for crafting atmosphere. On stone bridges, carve out carved railings as a foreground; lean lightly against them with hands softly crossed or holding props, letting your gaze drift toward the distance or the water rather than staring into the lens, ensuring natural candid frames.

The embroidery and waistband details of this outfit are exceptionally intricate, so during half-body close-ups, I took care to straighten my back to reveal the neckline and waist silhouette. Around the blessing ribbons, the red wish tags created a striking color contrast against the blue Hanfu, fitting right into an Illustrated Guide to Hanfu Beauties mood. When interacting with props, keep gestures supple—resting a hand lightly on the ribbons while looking toward the lens or down at the fabric feels very lively. When incorporating an oil-paper umbrella, consider resting it closed upon the balustrade or opening it slightly to decorate the backdrop.

Location shoots test physical stamina, particularly navigating flagstone paths in a floor-length dress while keeping expressions relaxed and body lines fluid. Yet the outfit's color scheme matched the venue seamlessly; whether framing against crimson corridor pillars or teal window lattices, strong visual impact emerged effortlessly. The entire journey felt like a leisurely stroll through the garden, savoring the sights and immortalizing that relaxed, enchanted state of "forgetting the way back home".
