The post-convention photos from Zhuzhou Xiangju ACG have been sorted out, and this time I am bringing you the convention photos version of Luo Tianyi's "Millennium of Frost and Snow."

I chose to portray this look mainly because the overall melody of "Millennium of Frost and Snow" is highly poetic, and the light color tones of the costume are a perfect fit for a summer exhibition. Let's first talk about the wig. To recreate the character's translucent feel in this silver-grey hairstyle, the twin buns on both sides of the top were styled higher. This way, when paired with the blue-and-white hair accessories and pearl chains, the visual focus naturally falls on the face. The headpieces include flower clips on the side and hairpins. Actually, in a convention hall environment with top lighting, it is easy to produce heavy shadows, but the photographer handled the light very carefully during the shoot, bringing out the glossiness along the edges of the hair accessories.

The clothing fabric incorporates semi-transparent gauze and chiffon, which provides a strong sense of layering. The off-the-shoulder tailoring does a great job of modifying the upper arm lines, and together with the beaded necklace on the neck, the bead strands drape naturally when walking or raising hands for poses. The embroidery of the clothes is primarily concentrated on the chest and cuffs, featuring an ethereal, lightweight pattern that is consistent with the overall white-pink-blue color palette.

When doing this kind of cosplay look infused with ancient and immortal-hero elements, the biggest worry is that the costume might look heavy. Therefore, when coordinating the outfit, the layers of the inner lining and outer robe were kept relatively restrained. The blue-and-white color-blocked streamer at the waist is a small highlight; it sways lightly with the body when walking around the convention hall, adding a dynamic feel during poses.

The shooting location was at the Zhuzhou Xiangju ACG Convention and Exhibition Center. The steel structure background inside that venue actually feels quite industrial, forming a massive contrast with this ancient-style attire. However, the photographer used a large aperture to blur out the background, keeping the visual focus of the frame entirely on me. Since the foot traffic at the venue was quite heavy with many visitors around, we tried our best to find angles that avoided the crowds and utilized a cool-toned post-processing to slightly lower the environment's brightness, making the soft style of the character stand out even more.

When posing on-site, I mainly stuck to a gentle and introverted approach, such as touching the hairpin, tilting my head slightly, or lightly raising a hand, trying to avoid overly exaggerated movements. The wide-sleeve design of this costume is naturally suited for extending the body. During the shooting process, this gauze fabric creates a beautiful semi-transparent effect under the light, which is exactly why I love portraying this type of character look.

Another reason for choosing this look is because the song "Millennium of Frost and Snow" itself carries a cool and refreshing artistic conception, which is perfect for neutralizing the stuffy heat of a summer comic con. The apparel and makeup strive to align with the character's inherent cool temperament, so the emotional delivery throughout was quite restrained, trying to avoid disrupting the character's atmosphere.

In post-processing, we followed an elegant, cool-toned direction, slightly enhancing the translucent feel while refraining from over-editing to preserve the authentic texture of the skin. Convention photos are often limited by the environmental light sources and can easily turn out dull or form harsh light spots. However, when we were shooting, we chose a stance slightly away from the main light source on the side, allowing the light to better illuminate the area above the neck.

After sorting out these sets of images, I feel they perfectly recreated the temperament of this Millennium of Frost and Snow photoset, and sharing them as convention photos serves as a wonderful record for my cosplay experience this time.
