The long-planned Azur Lane Laffey bunny girl look has finally completed its entire photo set shoot. This wooden vintage bar counter scene selected is unexpectedly compatible with Laffey's lazy yet slightly dazed temperament. This kind of naturally warm-toned ambient light places high demands on showcasing the details of the cosplay costume, especially the textures of the blue patent leather bodysuit and the white plush clothing trims. To capture that lazy feel, I tried to find suitable body postures across various medium shots and close-ups.
During the shoot, to capture the 'sleepy' state, many casual sitting and lying postures were adjusted. For a counter like a bar that is relatively high and rigid, sitting to express a relaxed and lazy feel actually tests body control; the body needs to relax naturally without letting the overall outline of the costume collapse. White stockings can beautifully modify the leg lines from specific angles, and when paired with the slim-fit patent leather bodysuit and plush bunny ears, they genuinely convey the character's inadvertent cuteness.
However, wearing this outfit was not exactly easy. The large area of plush ball designs on the cuffs and dress hem easily became messy or even tangled with each other during movements and posing. Therefore, I almost constantly needed to smooth out these small details on-site to maintain the optimal fluffy shape. This look is highly recognizable in the anime community and is also a very popular style during the Azur Lane anniversary celebrations. The photographer captured the light and shadow with extreme precision, utilizing natural transitions so that the reflection of the patent leather material presented a calm rather than harsh visual effect, while beautifully preserving the vintage wooden atmosphere of the bar environment. On the whole, when the shutter was pressed, that casual feel in harmony with the character was relatively perfectly embodied within the frame.
