[Kochiya Sanae Cosplay] Photography sharing: Shooting Insights for the Fullscreen image

This Fullscreen image is a carefully chosen final piece from my Kochiya Sanae Cosplay photoshoot. As one of my favorite characters in the Touhou Project series, Kochiya Sanae's balance of divinity and approachability inspired me to bring her to life. We chose a light green backdrop panel to maintain a cohesive overall color tone. When capturing full-body shots, the upright posture and natural drape of the skirt are crucial; since the Fullscreen image is uncropped and requires the subject centered without clipping the edges, I adjusted my footing multiple times on set to showcase the leg lines and body proportions at their best. The long-staff prop in hand was also a huge help, adjusted over a dozen times to ensure the framing looked both stable and natural.

Because of the warm weather, wearing this multi-layered outfit was quite stuffy, and the tassels and lace frequently tangled when turning around, requiring constant tidying. For makeup, red contact lenses were paired with light green long hair, and the eye makeup was refined more delicately than usual to capture the character's calm yet mysterious aura. To showcase the black buckle shoes, white socks, and skirt details, we arranged dedicated lighting for partial shots; ultimately, this full-body framing felt the most complete, perfectly capturing the prop details and the elegant blend of peacock blue and white. We avoided dramatic post-processing filters, mainly preserving the soft ambient light on set. The Touhou Project world is vast, and Sanae's ability to create miracles deeply resonates with me, leading me to pour all my focus into the lens. This is my sincere portrayal of the character, presented in this Photography sharing keepsake.
