This Helektra cosplay official photoshoot primarily focuses on the game character recreation, bringing out the overall temperament and rich layering of the costume. Speaking of the outfit first, this look has a powerful visual asymmetry. The black spliced fabric of the upper body features a fine texture, paired with leather straps on the upper arms and semi-translucent black mesh sleeves, delivering a sharp yet mysterious feel. The blue, white, and silver metallic ornaments on the chest and waist display a wonderful texture under the studio lights. The most eye-catching part is undoubtedly the layered asymmetric skirt on the lower body: the outer layer features a black base inlaid with sharp, pinkish-purple triangular splices, while the inner layer is a stiff skirt in light aqua blue, creating a beautiful color-layering effect when walking. Paired with black high-heeled ankle boots and hollowed-out leg rings, the overall proportions look exceptionally slender.
Regarding the weapon prop, this longsword is exceptionally heavy. The blade adopts a large area of silver-gray metallic texture finish, supplemented by highly aggressive bright red lines and barbed structures. The crystal flower bud decorations on the hilt are exquisitely detailed; although it looks gorgeous, it genuinely requires some strength to balance while posing, which adds a sense of power to the character's movements. For makeup, the blue colored contacts and the blue teardrop mark under the eye accentuate the character's cool and sharp aura.
To fit the vibe of this outfit, a lot of effort went into the set design. We utilized a white openwork Gothic arch as the main scenery, with sheer curtains cascading down naturally, surrounded by a massive purple-toned flower sea backdrop of purple and pink hydrangeas. The additions of metallic multi-tiered candelabras and golden birdcages bring out the elegance of a classical court. My most satisfying part is the mirrored material on the floor, which not only reflects the trailing form of the skirt hem but also deepens the spatial sense of the entire frame. This overall purple-and-white tone perfectly sets off the color-blocking of dark blue, black, pink, and blue in the costume, making the color contrast even more vivid.
During the shoot, we experimented with different states including sitting, standing, and holding the sword ready for battle. I feel that the standing pose with the sword blade pointing vertically upward best showcases the character's aura; paired with a slightly tilted head, it beautifully balances this gorgeous yet heroic visual aesthetic. Although this costume and its props were somewhat cumbersome during the shoot, seeing the final images under the lens of Anime-style photography—whether it's the curve of the skirt or the metallic luster of the weapon—makes me feel that all the effort invested was entirely worth it. It was a highly exhilarating shooting experience, and I hope to share this meticulously prepared piece with everyone.
