This photoshoot for Misa Amane was chosen at Qingdao St. Emil's Cathedral. The Gothic architectural lines and cross elements truly match the temperament of this character from Black notebook very well. The outfit is from Juda Songzi, and the entire pairing has a very strong sense of visual layering. The top is a short-sleeved pink shirt with white lace trims on the neckline, cuffs, and hem, featuring a black strapped design on the chest interwoven with two thin red stripes, combining sweetness with a touch of dark style. The lower body is paired with a black multi-layered ruffled mini skirt, with small metal cross pendants sewn onto the skirt hem, making the ruffles sway with movement, which is very eye-catching in its details.

Because the character's setup contains distinct Gothic and punk elements, I chose pink mesh thigh-highs for the leg accessories, complemented by pink thigh rings and garter belts. This mesh material requires constant attention to smoothness during outdoor shooting, and the tightness of the thigh rings must be adjusted so they don't leave obvious marks while not sliding down. On my feet, I wore white platform shoes, which not only increase height differences but also neutralize the darker parts of the pairing, fitting the character's inherent girlishness even better. A black choker with metal rings was worn around the neck, the hair is golden long straight hair with a bit of braiding, and the makeup emphasizes the eye contours.

The shooting day was overcast with thick clouds, bringing diffuse lighting. This kind of weather is actually particularly suitable for outdoor shoots because you don't have to worry about direct sunlight causing harsh shadows on the face, nor do you need to frequently adjust reflectors. The slate road and black wrought-iron fence outside the cathedral provided great depth. In the first picture, I am standing in front of the fence, holding my collar with my hand and turning slightly sideways, which allows the cathedral door to be used as a background to enrich the picture's colors. The second picture is right in front of the cathedral arch, raising a hand to interact with the lens, breaking the stiffness and giving the photo a sense of dialogue with the viewer.

The third picture is my personal favorite. Turning back to look over the shoulder with my back to the lens—this action is actually quite tricky to capture because it requires maintaining body twist and center-of-gravity stability. To showcase the layering of the skirt and the lines of the legs, I slightly pushed my hip to one side while letting the skirt's pleats fall naturally. The contrast between the pink mesh socks and the black short skirt is very prominent here, and combined with the clutch-holding pose, the overall composition places the character right in the center of the frame. Because the building itself is quite tall, the photographer lowered the camera angle slightly, which captures the cathedral's green spire and cross while lengthening the leg proportions.

The texture of the clothing was restored very well under outdoor natural light, making the three-dimensional feel of the lace trims and the gloss of the fabric clearly visible. Throughout the shoot, both the clothing's detailed pairing and the scene's style matching achieved my expected results.
