A lot of thought truly went into presenting the texture and layering of this blue and white light tulle dress with gradient colors. The actual fabric is even more lightweight and sheer than imagined, and the overlapping treatment of the tulle layers both preserves the ethereal visual effect and supports the overall silhouette. In particular, the embellishments of rhinestones on the hem reflect a subtle starlight effect under different lighting angles, perfectly fitting the atmospheric setting of an underwater or ice field environment.

For the set design, we specially laid out a transparent film on the studio floor and filled it with water. The original intention was to simulate the refraction of a shallow puddle, allowing the vine decorations at the ankles and the edge of the skirt hem to interact naturally with the water surface. During the actual shoot, this waterscape photography technique indeed enhanced the transparency of the frame and made the backlit bokeh spots look more lively. However, there was also a tricky part: moving in the water required extreme caution, as I had to control my facial expressions and limb extensions while avoiding breaking the stillness of the water surface.

Regarding the combination of makeup and wig, blue hair in a predominantly cool tone was selected. The hair strands possess excellent smoothness, easily creating flowing lines with a slight breeze or body movement. The eye makeup wasn't made particularly heavy; instead, it used light blue blending coupled with sequins to accentuate the gaze. For the lips, a slightly glossy red tone was chosen to break up the large area of cool colors, preventing the face from being completely overwhelmed by the ambient hues.

The shooting process was actually quite physically demanding because it required repeatedly freezing poses in mid-air. For looks featuring soft tulle elements like this, the photographer's rhythm in capturing dynamic moments is crucial. The undulating movement of the light tulle and the ripples on the water surface need to reach a perfect state of balance at the very split second the shutter is pressed. Fortunately, the cooperation with the photographer was highly synergistic this time, allowing us to complete these dynamic snapshots efficiently and adjust the angle of the skirt hem in a timely manner.

In terms of post-processing, the focus was placed on creating a dreamy atmosphere with light and shadow. We preserved the natural rim light brought by the original backlit setup and avoided over-intensifying the saturation. Instead, by adjusting the color temperature, the image was made to present a clearer state with more breathing room. Producing a high-quality cosplay photoshoot requires meticulous preparation beforehand, costume adjustments, on-site lighting, and fine polishing in post-production—none of which can be omitted.
