[Durandal Cosplay] The Cool White and Blue Tones of Dea Anchora

This Dea Anchora outfit was decided from the start of its design to use pure white as the base color, paired with highly saturated blue as a finishing touch. The fabric texture of the entire costume is highly sophisticated; the white short skirt uses a material with distinct three-dimensional diamond patterns to avoid the monotony of pure white, instead presenting rich layers under the light and shadow. The bright blue wide satin ribbon bow at the side of the waist is the visual center of gravity for the entire upper body, nicely guiding the eyes toward the slender waistline.

Actually, what troubled me the most was the deep blue fabric rose at the neck. If its position was even slightly skewed, it would ruin the overall symmetrical aesthetic. During fitting, I repeatedly adjusted it several times to find the angle that best fitted the curve of my collarbone. The golden wireframe crown on my head, paired with blue gemstones, plus the white flowers and draping light white veil on the side—although there are many accessories, fortunately, the main color tone is highly unified, so it doesn't look cluttered.

This pair of white tights for the lower body is also the soul of this look. The tight cut places high demands on the leg lines. The exquisite lace embroidery patches at the knees are perfectly detailed, forming an interesting stylistic contrast with the exaggerated white platform chunky heel shoes on my feet. This look heavily tests body coordination during shooting, because the soles of the shoes are thick and stiff, requiring me to balance my center of gravity well when striking a cross-legged sitting pose on the floor.

The shooting venue was chosen to be a pure white space with a reflective gray marble floor, with classical-style white sculptures placed on both sides as environmental cues. This clean, cool-toned setting harmonizes beautifully with the white-and-blue color scheme on the character. The light mainly hit from diagonally above, creating sharp and crisp shadow effects, giving the entire portrait a tranquil, sculpture-like feel.

The white-and-blue bouquet in hand was the final puzzle piece for this look. The simple floral embellishments added a touch of softness to the styling, which otherwise carries a slight sense of distance. During post-retouching, I deliberately preserved the cool white tone of the frame, but slightly enhanced the rosy color of the face to make the skin texture look clearer. The blue contact lenses and orange-pink blush makeup also blended more naturally with the overall atmosphere.

For this kind of complex, layered clothing, the biggest fear when posing is that wrinkles in the fabric will look messy. So during the shoot, every time I changed poses, I had to tidy up the hem and veil again. However, looking at the final photos, the combination of white clothes and blue accessories turned out quite true to my initial imagination of this look. The overall temperament is clean and sharp—the white parts are as soft as clouds, while the blue accents are distinct enough. I feel the overall visual completion met my expectations.
