The convention photos from Day 1 of the Chengdu World Line Anime Exhibition are finally edited and released. This time I'm portraying Vesna from Genshin Impact Snezhnaya, and the shooting location was chosen by the lakeside. Since the setting is a Snezhnaya commander, I paid special attention to shaping the overall aura. Even in a relatively casual natural environment like the lakeside, I hoped to convey the character's personality through actions and gaze. The wind by the lake was actually quite strong that day, blowing the wig and plush shawl slightly messy, and I kept adjusting my state during the shooting process.

This costume has a lot of details, especially the blue-and-white skirt hem and the golden decorations, which can easily look cluttered in the lens if not careful. To better showcase the layering of the costume, I chose to appear on the plush blanket in a kneeling or side-sitting posture. However, doing these movements while wearing shoes was really too restrictive; not only was it easy to deform the skirt hem, but it was also extremely inconvenient when adjusting the center of gravity, so I simply took off my shoes. Although I know taking off shoes might slightly violate the character's fully-armed setting—what people often call OOC—for the overall aesthetic of the frame, I can only apologize to everyone here! However, the white pantyhose paired with soft white shoes were originally part of this styling, and now wearing only white stockings on the lawn actually gives off a slightly softer feel.

During the shoot, the photographer was exceptionally good at catching angles. Figure 4 is my favorite: holding the staff horizontally with both hands and sitting sideways on the white long-plush blanket with legs crossed, this posture can not only showcase the tailoring of the full costume, but also display the lines of the white stockings very well. At that time, my arms were actually quite sore from lifting the staff to maintain balance, but the moment the final photo came out, I felt it was all worth it. The action in Figure 1, kneeling on both knees with hands extending forward, is actually simulating a state of invitation or casting a spell. Can everyone feel the chill and elegance of that Snezhnaya military commander?

To match the cool-toned lighting environment at night on that day, the makeup specially adjusted the highlight parts, especially making the green contact lenses look vivid under the flash. Due to the outdoor night scenery, the light changed quickly, so fill light needed to be timely. When holding the staff horizontally with both hands, the golden parts of the gloves easily got stuck with the staff body. When sitting sideways, the white stockings pressing against the fuzz of the lawn were actually a bit prickly, but for the sake of the picture's aesthetics, I endured it and didn't move around. Although the blanket on the lawn was a prop, it also became our safe harbor for rest. This time I didn't choose many large-scale jumping actions because the Snezhnaya commander's setting leans more towards stability and majesty, so static sitting postures were used more to convey emotions through the gaze and micro-expressions.

The lakeside night view combined with the blue sky is simply a perfect match for the color tone of this outfit. Although running around for a whole day on Day 1 of the anime exhibition was already very tiring, being able to have such a quiet and magical-vibe set of convention photos by the lake made me truly happy. I hope this Vesna can let everyone feel a different Snezhnaya style.
