For this cosplayer portrayal, I focused heavily on the character's unique facial triangular mark, braiding details, and the geometric feel of the attire. The pale pink and white wig paired with twin tails, along with that touch of blue-purple eye makeup, strives to restore the prototype's traits from the game, which are both mysterious and a bit lazy.
The triangular mark on the face is the most recognizable element, heavily testing the makeup artist's brush strokes and blending skills. To make the mark look like an inherent emblem of the character rather than a painting floating on the skin surface, we made multiple attempts at color selection and gradient transitions. Paired with the enlarged Anime-style makeup for the eyes, we emphasized the proportion of the lower eyelid and the trend of the outer corner, making the gaze appear more innocent yet carrying a hint of tsundere vibe before the lens, which is crucial for shaping the character's personality.
Regarding the clothing, the deep blue-purple fabric carries a subtle luster, beautifully accentuating the fair skin tone. The geometric color-block patchwork at the collar and shoulders, paired with golden rings and blue-and-white streamers, concentrates the visual focus on the upper body. The prop has a strong sense of design, especially that giant light blue tentacle with rings and cyan ends, which perfectly echoes the characteristics of the character's Ice element skills. In fact, to create the illusion of the prop floating, we spent a great deal of effort during the shoot to fix the angle, making it look dynamic without appearing heavy. The blue gem accessory in hand has a very solid metallic texture; when holding it to make some movements, one can truly feel its weight in this cosplay costume.
As for the hair, the overall look is a transition from pale white to light pink, and the braiding of the twin tails is highly detailed. By adjusting the fluffiness and direction of the hair, we simulated that fluffy yet layered effect from the game's official art. Not only did combing require thought, but during the shooting process, we also had to constantly prevent the hair from looking messy due to movements; the stylist spent plenty of time beside me smoothing it down.
Regarding the thread title mentioning 'whether all Primogems were saved for granny,' this is my small tribute to the character's story meme. This shoot also consciously integrated a bit of that dry humor posture. The entire cosplay shooting process was not easy; the weight of the equipment on the body combined with the need to constantly face the camera and maintain full emotions definitely demands physical stamina. But this is exactly the charm of cosplay—transforming flat illustrations and 3D models into real-life concrete expressions. Although the process is tedious, the final visual effect makes one feel that all the hard work was completely worth it. I hope to pass on the texture details and atmospheric feel in this set of photos to more friends who love this image.
