This time for the FGO 10th Anniversary event's Jalter cosplay styling, from material selection to final presentation, it took about half a month of preparation. Because I usually love Jeanne d'Arc Alter very much, I wanted to present a sincere work at this special node of the FGO 10th Anniversary. The wig was chosen as a silver-white hair color short flip-up style. To restore that iconic ahoge on top of the head, a lot of hair gel and styling spray were used. Every day I spent time styling its curvature, making it neither too straight nor too flat, and the final effect was quite satisfactory. In terms of makeup, the red-toned eyeshadow and blush were highlighted, matched with yellow-green contact lenses, trying to present a cold yet somewhat mischievous feel. The smudging range of the eye makeup is relatively large; to make it look layered in front of the lens, deep red eyeshadow was also used on the lower eyelid to deepen it, while applying the blush slightly above the apple of the cheek to create a slightly flushed texture. The black hollowed-out headpiece on the forehead and the dangling ruby are key details, with a reddish-pink flower pinned on the right side, forming a slight contrast with the overall silver-white and black color scheme, and the three-dimensional feel of the stamen is also very brilliant under the lens. The black lace choker on the neck plus the purple ribbon can be considered a relatively recognizable element in this outfit; the lace pattern and the black flower in the middle of the choker have very clear textures under the light. The transparent shoulder straps at the junction of the sleeve covers and black long gloves are a common processing method for such idol/costume performance outfits; although a bit tight to wear, the overall styling sense is indeed stronger. The shooting location was chosen by the street, with the ground paved with reddish-brown and gray floor tiles, and the background featuring buildings with green grid windows, with a beige stone facade, and the overall ambient light was quite sufficient. To match the outdoor light, a flash was used during shooting, resulting in a rather obvious reflection on the chest, which was a small accident in this shoot, but the overall atmosphere is still very special. In terms of props, holding an orange bag with a cartoon pattern in hand can also be considered a small casual embellishment grabbed on the spot outdoors. I was actually a bit nervous during the shoot because people were coming and going around, and coupled with the relatively high skin exposure of this outfit, my body was a bit stiff at first, but gradually I got into the state and started interacting with the lens. This Jeanne d'Arc Alter outfit made many attempts in details, from lace to ribbon, trying every part to fit the original texture of the character, especially the cutting of the clothes, which must ensure the overall form-fitting degree while not restricting movement too much. On the occasion of Fate/Grand Order welcoming its 10th anniversary, being able to express my love for the character in my own way is a very meaningful thing. Outdoor shooting always encounters all kinds of unexpected situations, such as changes in the direction of light, or the gaze of onlookers, but these are also part of the cosplay process. When organizing the photos, it was a bit regrettable to see the reflection spots, but instead, I felt that this recorded the true shooting environment at that time. I hope this Jalter styling completed on the street can bring everyone a fresh visual experience, and also wish Fate/Grand Order a happy 10th anniversary.
