[Drunk Jalter cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Jeanne d'Arc Alter's Tipsy Moments at the Bar

This set of photoshoot teasers was shot on location at a vintage bar at night, primarily to match the character design's tipsy, coldly glamorous, and dreamy atmosphere. In terms of venue choice, the warm yellow lighting and the dark wooden bar counter lined with liquor bottles behind me separated the subject from the background nicely. The dim amber glass pendant lights overhead cast across my body, bringing out a retro cinematic quality. Wardrobe preparation centered around the purple satin gown, with black lace trim along the bust and neckline, whose glossy texture stood out remarkably under the subtle dim lighting. The matching purple-black over-the-knee Purple pantyhose and matching long gloves not only elongated visual proportions but also added mystery to the details.

During shooting, to capture that perfectly dialed-in languid state, I experimented with different poses. One was leaning casually against the bar counter with hands crossed beneath my chin, gazing directly into the lens to express a carefree relaxation; another was sitting upright while holding a mixed cocktail, leaning forward slightly. These postures, coordinated with the headpiece and wig, captured the character's traits wonderfully. The photographer made great use of foreground bottles, coasters, and glassware for bokeh effects, creating an onlooker's perspective. In lighting, special attention was paid to carving out facial contours and body lines, allowing the purple fabric to form a sharp contrast against skin tones.

The makeup was meticulously coordinated, utilizing warm, dark eyeshadow to enhance depth, while red lips added color and vitality, and the facial mole served as a charming visual accent. The long white hair showed rich texture against the black-and-purple headpiece. Throughout the shoot, the photographer's compositional control was spot-on, centering the subject while capturing details like glass reflections to give the set rich visual layers. In post-processing, we chose to preserve the original warm amber tones, making only foundational lighting adjustments without heavy filters to ensure realism and sophistication.

Selecting the two teaser photos was a tough choice because different angles conveyed distinct energies—one relatively spaced out and dreamy, the other sharp and commanding—yet both captured different facets of the character nicely. This photoshoot required plenty of thought in pre-production communication, styling, and on-site shooting, and the final presentation turned out truly atmospheric. I love imagery with a sense of narrative and mood. When discussing it with friends earlier, we agreed that portraying this setting with a touch of mystery and emotional distance was fascinating, fitting the character's persona while the environmental contrast of wearing such attire in a bar created a fun photographic concept. Fine details in the photos—such as the length of the gloves and the folds of the stockings—were considered to make the frame look more polished, striving to recreate the character in my heart.
