[Izumi Hiyori cosplay] Inspiration and sweet creativity in Joki Datsuri Creative

This time, I am bringing you this sailor suit outfit look of Izumi Hiyori from Joki Datsuri Creative. The styling is centered around a classic sailor suit, featuring a white top with a navy striped bowtie, paired with twin buns and blue ribbons on both sides—refreshing with a touch of sweetness. The shooting location was specially set up with Japanese tatami mats and a blue-and-white plaid sofa. Along with the iconic yellow chick plushie, it instantly created a warm and casual atmosphere, perfect for Japanese-style home photography.

To recreate the character's lively nature, I tried various angles during the shoot, including sitting, lying down, and kneeling. Cooperating with the cute plushie and props, I tried to keep the frames looking as relaxed and natural as possible. The uniform in the photos actually has a very meticulous cut, especially the pleats of the bowtie and the ribbon details on the cuffs, which were adjusted multiple times to fit the character design. Additionally, the combination of white socks and red Mary Jane shoes is based on her original outfit, making the red, white, blue, and yellow color palette look very harmonious in the frame.

My biggest takeaway from this shoot was the blending of light and background. Utilizing natural indoor light combined with a bit of ambient lighting made the skin tone and clothing textures look much softer. Still life items like the small potted plant, books, and an old-fashioned radio on the desk also enhanced the slice-of-life feel. Although it's just a set of still photos, I hope this Anime cosplay allows everyone to feel the character's positive and slightly playful personality.
