[Sweety cosplay] Red Envelope Giveaway Time with Zenless Zone Zero's Yinchaxian NPC

Vol. 2 of the Zenless Zone Zero Cosplay set featuring Sweety, the NPC from Yinchaxian, is finally here! Taking advantage of this Friday off, I finally got to experience the pure joy of clocking out at 3:00 PM for afternoon tea.

Starting with the costume design, the palette centers on black and red. It features a modified sleeveless cheongsam silhouette paired with a red-and-gold stand-collar capelet, accented across the chest by delicate frog clasps and copper coin ornaments. Cutout details at the waist, laced with crimson cords and wooden bell tassels, introduce a playful touch. The textile carries a subtle sheen that reflects rich depth under studio lights. The high-slit hemline not only flatters leg lines but reveals the crimson lining and gilded embroidery with layered motion while walking. Paired with black fingerless leather gloves, feathered armlets, and thigh garters, it tempers classical gentleness with sharp, confident swagger. Black high heels elongated lower body proportions.

For hair and makeup, to faithfully match the design, I styled a short blonde wig into twin low pigtails paired with purple contact lenses. A pair of golden sunglasses rested across the crown, while a black spherical hairpin and black ribbons printed with gilded Chinese characters on the left added signature flair, trailing dynamically with movement.

Props were prepared in rich variety: a folding fan, red envelopes, and a long-stemmed pipe. The set featured carved wooden screens, calligraphy gossamer drapes, and pink flowering branches, enhanced by golden brocade cushions and wooden lanterns to forge an antique atmosphere tinged with 2D fantasy. Photographer Masaka used a SONY A7M5 paired with a 24-70mm lens, capturing nuances of light, shadow, and tactile textures seamlessly.

In posing, I explored diverse stances. The standing shot lifting one leg was designed to accentuate the side slit and leg contour while lending dramatic tension to the composition. The seated and reclining poses required steady core control to keep my back upright while adjusting center of gravity—working through actions like nudging sunglasses, fanning, and offering red envelopes to weave narrative depth. My gaze shifted organically from playful vivacity to languid calm, aiming to express every facet of Sweety's tea shop charm.

The entire shoot progressed effortlessly. Calligraphy drapes rippled softly in the breeze while lighting washed over the black-and-red fabric, capturing peak tactile quality. This set continues the aesthetic of Vol. 1, blending traditional motifs with modern edge. Seeing the finished stills, that cup of tea after clocking out at 3:00 PM truly tasted sweet.
