[Arknights Laevatain cosplay] Elegant Interpretation of Red hair and White dress

This set of Arknights Laevatain cosplay was planned for quite a while. Considering the visual contrast between the Red hair and the white cut-out dress, I chose a piano and flower sea setup as the backdrop. The Red hair wig was styled with plenty of volume and paired with black horns; to accentuate the presence of the horns, their position was adjusted multiple times. For makeup, light blue contacts were chosen, which looked very translucent under soft lighting.

The White dress is made of sheer tulle; its side cut-outs and gold waist ornament truly put body proportions to the test, requiring careful attention to range of movement during shooting to prevent wardrobe mishaps. The gold leaf leg chain and gold strappy stilettos were the highlights of this styling, flattering the body proportions wonderfully.

When shooting in front of the piano, the main focus was on seated poses and the graceful curves of looking back over the shoulder. Legs adorned with high heels and the leg chain needed prominent display, so the composition deliberately gave ample space to the legs. Later, for the kneeling and sitting poses on the white plush rug, birdcages and dried flowers were specifically added to the background, utilizing the photographer's lighting Atmosphere to deepen the character's mystical aura.

The main difficulty in shooting this set lay in securing the dragon horns and ensuring harmonious placement of various metallic accessories, needing constant vigilance so jewelry wouldn't snag on the fabric during poses. Additionally, due to the dress's cut-out design, facial expressions needed to strike a balance between subtle aggression and aloof detachment, echoing the fiery persona of the Red hair. In side-lying and curled-up postures, maintaining the angle of the high heels was quite tough, requiring constant arching of the instep to elongate the leg lines. Post-processing primarily preserved the texture and lighting layers of the Red hair without overly smoothing skin texture, keeping an authentic, realistic feel. This shoot was completed together with friends from the Zoo Photography Club, who helped adjust lighting and props on site—such as moving the piano into the flower-filled room and carefully arranging the flower density—making the whole process very fulfilling. Personally, my favorite shot is sitting sideways on the piano bench: it showcases the lines of the back and hair beautifully, while highlighting the combination of the leg chain and stilettos for great visual tension. Walking around the living room in this outfit, the trailing white tulle and Red hair flowing in the air conveyed a delicate sense of lightness through the lens.
