Don't run away anymore, because your 'Tao' (peach) is here! This young lady is not just good at Onmyodo, you know! Recently the weather has been ridiculously cold, and putting out this Hu Tao cosplay Sakura Cloud Celestial look was truly risking my old life in the studio against the freezing winter.

Let me share the details of this costume, makeup, and props with everyone first. The wig for the headpiece features a white base with a pink gradient, with highly lightweight hair strands, paired with fluffy beast ears to instantly find the character's feel. The tassels and mini star decorations dangling in front of the forehead also add to the overall refinement. The main body of the costume is a white-and-pink color-blocked form-fitting tube top style, adorned with ruffles and lace at the chest. The most eye-catching is definitely that massive golden flower metallic decoration at the waist, with a highly solid texture, paired further with red tying cords; the combination of Japanese style and 2D anime-style modification is perfectly in place.

The layer of semi-transparent pink tulle sleeves layered outside is my favorite design, further dotted with three-dimensional small pink flowers. Whether naturally draping down or raising my arms, the tulle flutters with the wind, overflowing with an ethereal aura. Moreover, this costume is highly friendly to showcasing the body figure, beautifully outlining the waistline and the contour of the arms.

Of course, the most 'torturous' part of wearing this set is actually the leg decorations. Stepping onto the indoor tatami mats bare-footed, combined with the red-and-white striped bands tied around the base of the thighs and that small white flower decoration, indeed makes the legs look exceptionally long, carrying a special moe point of 2D anime style. But no matter how warm the studio is, staying for long still froze the soles of my feet ice-cold; to find the optimal shooting angles and lines, walking back and forth repeatedly brought quite a bit of hardship.

The shooting scene this time was beautifully arranged. Japanese-style wooden grid sliding doors serve as the backdrop, paired with warm yellow square luminous paper lanterns, red maple branches, and pink cherry blossom twigs scattered on the ground, successfully creating an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that spans across both spring and autumn seasons. Many props were also paired, like that pink-and-yellow folding fan, that pink Japanese-style umbrella held open, and that highly iconic white fox mask with red patterns. We tried various shooting schemes, including a standing pose holding the umbrella, sitting and waving the fan, and even challenging a high-angle downward shot lying on the tatami mats. Especially the posture of sitting on that low wooden stool holding the folding fan features a highly stretched composition, beautifully presenting the costume's flowing elegance and the body's curves perfectly in place.

Although doing a location shoot braving the winter cold wind is truly hard work, to a cosplayer, being able to put on such an exquisite set of costume, makeup, and props, and capturing the ideal effects in a fitting scene, makes all the exhaustion completely worth it the exact fraction of a second the final photos are viewed. The process of this shoot was highly pleasant, and I hope the presented images allow everyone to perceive the dedication put into this costume.
