This shoot for Goddess of Victory: Nikke Dorothy cosplay mainly focused on character recreation and pose composition for a Mirror selfie session. The costume was a custom white dress with a subtle glossy sheen, paired with white lace-trimmed stockings (White stockings) and gold-soled high-heeled boots. The pink wig was styled into long curls and secured at the top with a purple-and-white ribbon bow for an added touch of elegance. Since this was primarily a Mirror selfie session, I paid special attention to exploring angles and stances.
The first seated pose was designed to accentuate leg lines, while the second crouching pose utilized a low mirror angle to showcase the fluffy, layered volume of the skirt. The third standing pose provided the most complete full-body display, highlighting the natural drape of the garment and the elongating effect of the high heels. During shooting, I constantly checked the mirror to adjust the phone's position, ensuring the figure remained centered in the frame while naturally concealing my face. I deliberately experimented with various standing and crouching combinations to add variety to the selfie poses.
The pairing of the shoes and stockings was exceptionally photogenic, and the white heels inherently complemented Dorothy's overall graceful aura. Shooting independently without assistance really tests one's command over the camera—especially when highlighting the nuances of leg contours in White stockings, which required micro-adjusting leg placements repeatedly. Although the shooting process took some trial and error, the final presentation closely matched the character's persona. Regarding character lore and costume details, I avoided excessive post-processing, preferring to preserve the authentic prop textures and fabric weave. From crafting the overall ambiance to the room's background layout, it was truly an engaging and rewarding cosplay experience.
