[Remilia cosplay] The Dark Night Mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion from Touhou Project

To embody Remilia from Touhou Project within a canonically faithful setting, we selected a vintage study room location studio. The costume features intricate ruffles and pleats, seamlessly splicing pink satin with dark-red velvet. To capture the character's demeanor, hair and makeup utilized a cool-toned light-blue short wig paired with crimson lenses, layered eye makeup, and a vintage velvet lip texture. The greatest hurdle during shooting was smoothing the voluminous skirt and over-the-knee White stockings; sitting or crossing legs easily created unwanted bunching, demanding frequent adjustments between takes to preserve crisp lace hems and elongated leg lines.

Props and staging featured crimson hardcovers, antique silver candelabras, hourglasses, and desk lamps, combined with warm side-lighting to establish a rich dark-fairytale ambiance. The first composition remains the most complete—seated on the black velvet sofa, it flawlessly presents costume textures and White stockings while holding a direct gaze for intimate engagement. The second frame captured restful closed-eye indolence through light and shadow, while the third balanced on the desk edge framed by bat wings and an oversized chest bow. The fourth standing shot wielding a parasol tested petticoat rigidity, projecting aristocratic formality. Although the weighty Lolita headpiece and corset binding were physically taxing, the photographer's precise keying onto facial planes and delicate lace yielded a deeply satisfying Vintage photography record.
