This time, the shooting location was chosen inside a classroom to recreate that youthful campus atmosphere. Putting on this uniform, wearing the silver-white long wig and fluffy beast ears, and sitting at the familiar desk felt like being instantly pulled back to high school days. When organizing the makeup and styling, special attention was paid to the layering of the wig, with slight micro-curling treatments applied to make the overall look closer to the natural yet thick silver-white hair color seen in anime. In terms of makeup, ice blue contact lenses are the soul of the entire eye makeup, paired with reddish-orange-toned eyeshadow, presenting an exquisite and slightly mixed-race doll-like state in front of the camera.
To achieve the ideal picture, a lot of thought went into controlling the details of the costume. The dark blue double-breasted gold-button dress paired with the white blazer has great texture, and the large red bow at the neckline had to be adjusted to the most proper position to balance the overall visual center of gravity. Pure white over-the-knee stockings are definitely one of the highlights of this styling. During the shoot, I intentionally adjusted the edges of the stockings to ensure they were flat without indentation marks, and tried to showcase the extended lines of the legs in the sitting posture, such as crossing the legs or straightening one leg, which makes the proportions look better in front of the camera and highlights the beauty of the absolute territory.
Classroom light and shadow are actually quite particular. We utilized the natural light filtering through the windows as the primary light source, combined with side-backlighting to illuminate the silver-white wig, making the hair strands look lighter and glossier while outlining the character's contour lines. When posing, such as sitting sideways on the desk with crossed legs, or kneeling on the tabletop with both knees while holding a red ribbon with one hand, these actions were designed to increase the layering and narrative feel of the image rather than appearing too rigid. Sometimes the lens zooms in for a close-up, and at this point, the control of gaze and facial expressions is very important; slightly lowering the head or looking straight into the camera, paired with the dark blue folder in hand, showcases the character's quiet and introverted nature.
Shooting this set of cosplay photos, although indoors, still involved tossing back and forth between desks and chairs for a long time to capture beauty from different angles. From sitting on the desk and chairs to eventually sitting on the grey cushion on the floor, various relaxed states were tried. I really love this feeling of immersing myself in the character within a specific scenario; every press of the shutter is capturing a fleeting emotion, and I hope everyone can feel that quiet and slightly lazy classroom time through these photos.
