It is Luo Tianyi's 14th anniversary! As a beloved Vsinger, to capture this blue-and-white photoshoot to perfection, I stepped in front of the camera as Jinyu Lingjie and pulled an all-nighter at the Zhengzhou Shiyue cosplay experience studio.
The costume is heavily embellished in both fabric and metallic elements. To support the voluminous, flared silhouette of the short umbrella skirt, extensive crinoline stiff tulle was added to the inner lining, while the musical notes and gold filigree on the chest are crafted from rigid materials, carrying noticeable heft once worn. The two blue halo ring hair accessories atop my head and the styling of the wig ends took considerable effort as well. To achieve that wide, billowing floating effect across the frame, an assistant stood just outside the lens using transparent fishing line to suspend strands of hair; any slight shift in center of gravity pulled tightly enough to make my scalp numb. Paired with laced-up White stockings and high heels, the silhouette visually elongated leg proportions gracefully before the lens.
The studio set was built with remarkable dedication. White European arches, Roman pillars, and carved balustrades formed a palace-like backdrop, complemented by white lilies and blue hydrangeas carpeting the floor, alongside draped white sheer curtains and strands of pearls, making the space feel wonderfully luminous and airy. To harmonize with the shooting ambiance, I held a long golden staff. The staff carried noticeable weight, requiring precise angle control when raising or swinging it to avoid bumping surrounding props.
Interacting with the doves was the trickiest part of this shoot. Although well-behaved, white doves are completely unpredictable. To capture the fleeting moments of wings spreading or perching on a fingertip, the photographer triggered the shutter dozens of times consecutively to seize a handful of satisfying kinetic frames. Because we utilized high-key lighting, the illumination was exceptionally bright yet soft, beautifully preserving the delicate textures of the White stockings and gradient wig under gentle backlighting in this Cosplay photography session.
The shooting process was a genuine test of physical endurance. With the wig measuring 1.5 meters long and poses demanding broad movements, maintaining light, smiling eyes and a poised, relaxed posture throughout left my waist and back thoroughly sore by the end. The makeup specifically featured light blue contact lenses paired with translucent eye makeup and soft blush to accentuate the anime aesthetic. From custom tailoring and set construction to fine makeup details, creating a finished photoshoot relies on the dedication of every team member. Entrusting the staging and lighting to the Shiyue team, whom I trust implicitly, yielded an ethereal, sacred, and lively visual delivery.
