Today I'm sharing my shoot of Pozëmka's "Beside the passing dream" skin from Arknights. I chose this theme mainly because the blend of Chinese elements and pink in the skin is visually striking. In the photos, I wear this sheer outfit interwoven with silver-white and ice-blue. The silver scale-like inner shirt, asymmetrical off-the-shoulder design, intricate beadings, and gold adornments give the overall look a modern edge distinct from conventional Chinese-style cosplay.
Wig selection was key. The original art's long pink hair has a low saturation and subtle gradient, so I styled the wig carefully to make it fluffy yet smooth. The fox ears featured flocking and gradient paint treatments to mimic real fur texture, accented at the base with delicate pearls and metal tassel accessories to echo the costume decorations.
Scene setup was a huge plus. Wooden carved window frames, a pink floral tree behind, a white crane ornament, and a warm yellow square ancient lantern together created an intimate, ethereal setting. My poses followed a narrative flow planned with the photographer. For instance, when standing, I held my sleeves and swung back, letting the wide chiffon fabric billow to simulate a breeze. Sitting down, I held a glass lotus or a wooden scroll, conveying a quiet, slightly mysterious vibe.
Regarding outfit coordination, I paid special attention to the anklet decoration. Walking or sitting on the carpet, subtle reflections from the anklet and skirt hem brought many detailed changes. Going barefoot in the photos fit the character's nimble, unrestrained personality. Because the iridescent organza glows under varying light angles, its reflections shift dynamically from light violet-blue to pink, making the material's texture come alive during the Anime-style photography shoot.
The trickiest part of cosplaying Pozëmka was capturing her gaze. Though appearing cool and aloof, the original lore gives her deep thoughtfulness. This contrast required a calm, serene expression rather than a blank look.
I love these final shots—they capture her demeanor and actions accurately. Despite the hard work and heavy costume, seeing the final result makes it all worthwhile. High-quality fan-made cosplay requires the team's dedicated effort. I'll keep refining my expression and look forward to bringing more surprises in future works!
